    This time we went with Chaos/Corsair's rolls the entire party. As you can see, it had a profound effect on my damage output. However, the ratio of my damage to Maridel's is almost exactly the same as it was the other day.

    I have all the data for this go around, since I turned off all relevant filters. I also logged it and will be attempting to calculate the actual double attack %. If you want any other info let me know via PM since this is kinda cluttering the thread at this point, or what the hell I can just post it here.

    Notice how my ranged accuracy is not capped yet my Slug Shot accuracy is. I chalk this up to the fact that nearly all my Slugs were done within the 5.0-5.9 sweet spot, whereas many ranged attacks were performed at point blank (because the mob closed in on me or moved around). It looks like the ranged accuracy penalty for being outside the sweet spot is pretty severe.

    @Shinryuu - No, Maridel is 0/5 Souleater. He's 5/5 Last Resort Effect/Recast instead. He's got 5/5 Desperate Blows and will be working on Diabolic Eye next.

    Ok, so I went through and counted the double procs and I came up with 90. So, of 341 ranged attacks, 180 of them were part of a double attack, and 161 were not. So I actually only performed 251 ranged attacks.

    161 singles vs 90 doubles = 64.14% single, 35.86% double. Hmm...

    Which brings me back to the question I asked earlier:
    Has anyone seen an actual parse from any of the 2H OAT weapons?

    Do we know for a fact that the proc rate is 40% on them yet?

    It doesn't seem beyond reason that they would make different proc rates for different weapons. Especially since we now know that they've made it different from how Joyeuse or Jailer Weapons work.

    If both have 140 str on WS, WSC will be 58. 107 + 19 + 58 = 184 vs 76 + 19 + 58 = 153. The difference on WS damage is 20% only.

    OAT polearm with higher delay will have easier true 6 hit build, and it will ws 30-40% more, which is more than enough to top the 20% different on WS damage, and 40% difference on normal tp hit. The thing that will make it close is the triple damage and 20 acc. But to say OAT doesn't have a chance is trusting too much into base damage, it is one of the most overrated stats in the game.

    And yet you people claim just the opposite when it came to Ryunohige vs Gugnir, despite the auto-crit on Jumps & AM affecting the Wyvern.

    KParser doesn't process this at all for ranged attacks yet, hopefully it can be added? I had to calculate mine manually by actually going through the log and counting.

    Ryunohige fucks with your WS frequency because you have to save up to 300 TP and there's also the ever-present risk of arriving just before or after aftermath wears off. There's no contradiction Further, there's also the defense down proc which hasn't been mentioned thus far... depending on other things it may or may not be a fairly potent factor in Gungnir's favor.

    Used Chaos+Corsair's for a while til we said fuck it, we'll kill Wivres too and switched to Chaos+Samurai. Again, double march for melees, pp min 4 for me.

    So, while the Dragonmaw is very nice... it still can't contend with SAM with pimped gear, Overwhelm, full-time Hasso, Double Attack, and 2xMarch+Haste on birds.

    Silly question but why you're using mekki instead of vucaln staff Shadida? Oh is bucc belt better than scout for slugshot? Been using scout for slug.

    SE needs to implement a mode that constantly fires ranged...ranged delay / snapshot is a joke atm since if you go too fast, you wind up slowing down.
