Hagun will always beat OAT by 25% on a per WS basis(regardless of Pdif, since it is the same for both WS's). and OAT will always perform about 22% more WS's(taking into account overflow, Which wastes 1 swing every 3 WS's).

So honestly, I don't see any situation where OAT gkatana will "Trump" Hagun.

You're underestimation values. Hagun's ws does ~24% more dmg; and kurodachi does 23% more ws. therefore you have to do carefull maths to compare them and kurodachi wins due to its melee excess, by about 4%, and this include low pDIF situations. Hagun wins if you stop meleeing period.

Dragonmaw hit distribution if anyone cares. Did the math just now, and assuming 40% OAT, the Dragonmaw averages 3.056 attack rounds to 100 TP in a 5-hit. Also calculated overflow probability which will always result in WSing with 20%ish more TP. The overflow probability is 27% (19% of that is from a 3-round cycle, rest is from a 4-round cycle. 2-round cycle can't overflow).

Adjusting for uncapped hitrate it's 3.21 using the approximation of dividing by .95 (not entirely accurate but close enough plus saves the hassle of doing more probability trees for other hitrates).

I didn't adjust for missing but that shouldn't matter, see above.

What is OAT rate on Jailer weapons? It didn't seem like it'd be that much better to me (if at all) but I'm too lazy to math.

it is about 50-55% if I am not mistaken and each DA hits count as an attack round while each can DA on its own but can't both DA.

Math suggests that Love Halberd is the best weapon for drg excluding relic and the new OAT magian weapon, and because Drg has access to better polearms than SAM, it is safe to assume that it would also be the best for SAM, and perhaps by a big margin.

One final Dragonmaw thing, since some have asked me, here's the model in-game. Looks kinda nice, solid black barrel and the stock of the gun is white. (I suppose it shares its model with Bandit's Gun)
