Not sure how I underestimated those values, when you nearly copied them with your numbers. I'll admit that Kurodachi's WS's will be slightly higher due to the 33% chance of overflowing(so 1/3 WS's being fired at ~117 for a higher Ftp). But oddly, Hagun has an overflow rate of 14%, which also creates a similar situation. It's actually funny how Hagun with 15% DA, has a 14% overflow. Yet Kurodachi with ~49% DA has only a 33% overflow, cause it's high DA actually protects it from getting into a situation that can cause an overflow(By having a higher chance of ignoring the one case of overflow).

My Kurodachi was a bit behind where it should, simply cause I forgot to take into account overflow for hagun, which puts it at 24% more WS's than hagun, compared to hagun's 25% more powerfull WS's. Which only puts Hagun up by a small margine on WS damage. Leaving only melee damage, which at it's base DoT is 17% better than hagun. So yes, in situations where more than 20% of your damage comes from melee, Kuro would slowly pull ahead. But by no means "Trump" Hagun. I still see it as a sidegrade only.

Along a similar vien, Soboro produces 39% more WS's than Hagun(17% more than kurodachi) taking overflow into account, as well as 10% more melee damage(kuro is 7% better than soboro). Ofcourse all of this is on paper, and I still use Hagun in just about every situation. So if you really think Kurodachi "Trumps" Hagun, Should take a look at that soboro that already "Trumps" Kurodachi.

Edit: one final note, Meditate isn't even considered in the previous number of WS's for either weapon, which I think we could both agree heavily favors Hagun.

Just finished last trial before the 10 ex VNM items on my bow.

Quick question to those who have ex items / are finished, when you get the ex items are you able to trade them to the moogle progressively so they are not clogging your inventory?

    Yes.

Edit: To the box next to the moogle, not the moogle itself.

false info again. the maths has been done on previous pages: soboro is always better than hagun( typically 2% on average pDIF situations, more in low pDIF) and always inferior to kurodachi. If you think 4% is a side grade for one equipement slot, you might as well keep an onimaru, because hagun is only 2% better. I dont care if people want to keep their haguns but the maths don't lie.

Edit: the maths is not as simple as you make it, as you have to factor in haste, double attacks, and the sub job... as /war, hagun=soboro and kurodachi is +4%; with /drg soboro=+2% and kurodachi=+7% ( /war best for hagun once you have dusk+1 and speed belt).

Iv seen the posts for the OaT Dragonmaw but i was wondering if anyone has finished the OaT bow, i ask because getting my LS to kill Valhandi is gona be a pain due to it not dropping "anything useful" but we kill Krabkatoa quite a bit, saving shells but not sure wether or not to do the OaT GK or OaT Bow. Bare in mind im near finished with the Astrild DMG80 and i also have Vbow, i must admit the numbers do look sexy for the gun but im capped archery merits and really want to stick with it.

    23% haste + 10% double attack > 25% haste.

I'm curious what staff other mages are getting or if people are bothering to work on multiples.

The 15% cure staff is a no brainer for WHMs or RDMs, but what about people who have BLM and RDM? As someone who is on RDM 90% of the time and BLM like 1% of the time, I wonder if it's worth it to bother with the elemental ones.

I’m currently working on Trial 841 with the Teiwaz staff for Pet Magic Attack +7. However I am unable to find a good reliable spot to kill Slimes under weather. Weather must be Ice, Earth, Water or Dark weather.

I'd prefer a konda post generator tbh.

    Something along the lines of:

    NIN is useful for (Situation)
    -wait for response-
Nonsense argument about how NIN is better than (Job)
    -wait for response-
    Repeat.

    Also, clots in zhayolm.

Pashlow Marshlands [S] is all I can really think of... slimes took 3-4 Thunderstorms to go down on average with 5/5 merit which means you may only get 1-2 slimes per weather change (from what I've seen so far). On my last occasion, weather changed so quickly before I finished one slime :\

This is going to take forever...

I've recommended clots in zhayolm for that trial like 4 times in different threads now, am I missing something about passhow? Earth weather is very common in zhayolm and there are quite a few clots, albeit spread out a bit.

Caedavera Mire is another option, for Dark weather. Dvucca Isle staging point, there's a pond with some in near the entrance.

Thorny: I heard someone say Clots don't count for the trial. Whether that's true or not, idk.

I'll give it a shot and report back I guess, not sure why clots wouldn't work though..
