Just get any weapon from the chest, start a trial, cancel it (then toss the weapon) and you'll the animation in 30s max... if any animation exists.

Lol seriously though, was just noticing something; Those staves with magic acc +3, maybe not that worth for RDM over HQ staves since they nuke as well (Unless you want TWO sets of them but you can't really gear swap them).
However; Bard. The Magic Acc +3 Light & Earth staff seem pretty worth it to me for Lullaby and Elegy. Might not replace earth staff for pulling idk, but it seems pretty damn good to me.
Unless your a BRD who heals or wants to take reduced damage when pulling...

Cast song in M.acc staff, swap to PDT set while running back to camp, keep light staff for cures anyway.
Was assuming they were doing both, forgot you could only do one... I think? idk, not looked at the "mage" side of Magin things beyond the cure potency staff.
We need to send SE letters and petitions to allow us to macro our augmented gear. I had high hopes for the augment system when they augmented some months ago. They promised that we would not have to part with our most cherished gear that has sentimental value to us. Yet, time and again, we find ourselves doing just that because we cannot macro them reliably. It's like being forced to decide which child you want to murder. Think of the children! We cannot let SE get away with this.

Theory is currently:
Lighting Affinity = +5% Lightning Damage +5% Mg Acc.
Each +1 Mg Damage = +5%, each +1 Mg Acc = +5% Mg acc
So Lightning Affinity: +3 Mg DMG/+1 Mg Acc = +20% Mg Dmg, +10% Mg Acc
Where a Jupiters staff is +15%/+15%.

Wait...By having each lightning affinity being 5%, wouldn't 3x5% be 15%? How did you manage to get 20 from that?
Because ele stave nq-->hq goes up 5% probably.
Unless Kirschy made a typo, it looks like this:
- Lightning Affinity: 5% Bonus
- Lightning Affinity +1: 10% Bonus
- Lightning Affinity +2: 15% Bonus
- Lightning Affinity +3: 20% Bonus
Jupiter is 15% damage / 30 magic acc
The mac on staff is not a % it's constant
considering NQ staves are 20 mac, you can expect 40 magic acc from the new staves
so the "affinity : +1 mac" would be something like affinity+1 where base_affinity=10 magic accuracy and "afinity : +1 magic damage" would be would be affinity+1 where base_affinity = 5% magic damage.
The result from affinity : mac+n / mdmg+m would be
(n+1)*10 mac and (m+1)*5% dmg
The other half of that is that a well geared BRD is already going to have too much equipment to begin with. Sure we could make the different MACC staves and the new Cure potency staff and carry our PDT set as well, but at what point is there a limit?
The original post said it was unnecessary for RDM because they may nuke and might want the other staves. All I'm saying is the same reasoning can apply (we may want the cure staff). In addition, songs are already easy to land on most targets - the rest you /BLM.
But if you (general) want to carry a different macc staff for every element song to go along with your elemental grips, instruments, and other what-have-you setups, go ahead.
