    In Trial 846 or any other trial that requires Finishing blow with a pet, if your buddy is helping and gets the last blow with his pet will it still count for you as well?

    i tried buying for 500k for those poppers that only interested in rings so they can still at least get 500k to 1m if ring dont drop. most of them agreed but...............the sad thing is, these people usually arent hardcore enough and give up after 1 pop

    i ended up getting 10 ruthven pop myself in the meantime, get helpers to kill and finished my katana -_-

    if you dont have a rdm/nin to solo it, or find it troublesome soloing, a MNK and RDM/DRK combo can pretty much tear erebus down in 10 mins

    dual box and you can get ur own trigger, and whore the nails, while allowing helper to roll on ring or ingot. they will be happy enough

    and for ruthven, you can zerg him down with 4 WAR/SAMs with 2 BRD, 4 songs, and eventually replace the brds with SMN and WHM to form a party of 4xWAR/SAM + WHM + SMN and zerg him down in 1 min or so with SP

    SMN for perfect defence and WAR/SAM great axe of course. If you can find a COR for extra buffs, thats a bonus

    this should net you 2-4 nails a day if your hardworking on soloing erebus, and eventually get your strigoi ring

    im on the ring phase now and it better drop...2 rings dropped while i whore nails and i kinda regret not rolling ring in the process......i really wanted katana bad that time ^^;

    A group is still limited by repops, and most of the 1200 kill group is disgusting. Things like Peiste, even with a group you won't be doing more than 1.5 kills a minute. That aside, how are you going to find a good group? The only lower DMG OAT weapon even worth considering is dagger for DNC.. sure a few idiots will be working on them occasionally, but I highly doubt there are enough to get a group in most circumstances.

    I never claimed it was the same work, I claimed it was similar. I stand by that. Given the choice of helping my friend with the trash mobs or the higher mobs for an Athame, I took the VNM. She doesn't care which one, as it's just TP gain for DNC.

    Finished my Teiwaz and I'm interested in testing out how much Macc the +3 Earth affinity actually gives.

    I have the Earth Macc+3/Mdmg+1 staff.

    What would be the best way to test it?

    This is on Elvaan SCH, 5/5 INT merits, with the Thunder Damage +3 Teiwaz, Bugard Leather Strap +1, Phantom Tathlum, AF+1 head, Uggy pendant, novio, moldy, morgana's cotehardie, vicious mufflers, snow rings x2, gleeman's cape, obi, mahatma slops and shrewd pumps, on lightningsday with thunderstorm up, with cream puff and ebullience. The Thunder 4 was while the mob had Burn on it, no other buffs.

    Verdict: pure sex for pure damage @puddings, and I didn't have a problem with resists in that build even with morgana's cotehardie. I've yet to nuke anything resistant with it but haven't sold my Jupiter's just yet.
    Too bad you didn't nuke with Jupiter's too (with same buffs and whatnot) to see the increase, unless it's literally just 5%?

    120/115=~4.35% increase in damage over the corresponding non-Ice HQ staff.

    Check the magic damage formula, and where it says "Staff Bonus" the Jupiter's gives 1.15 while the Teiwaz gives 1.20.

    Still 3 Months before first lvl cap increase. I could finish all the dmg staffs before cap reaches 80 let alone 99. But only doing thunder for now. With my merits ice/thunder are my primary spells anyways atm. Hopefully when they expand Magian, the new staffs have different names, and until they do that, I won't work on a second nuking staff. And until cap is 99, not gonna worry about trying to match staff with w/e might be highest spell, which it better be thunder or at least ice anyways, or else damn SE for screwing with my merits.

    They're planning on doing 3 updates this year. Late June or early July is probably when we'll see the first expansion and level increase. Though it is SE which is famous for being late on everything promised.

    I'd guess not but check. The cure staff which needed finishing blow of light damage had to be the person with the staff because I had a friend also bring out Carby and we tested it.

    I don't think anyone has done tests on either Tewiz's MACC, so that would be a good starting point. Some people mentioned some tests for these earlier. I'll quote them for convenience.

    Set yourself at 291+5 magic accuracy (55% landing rate). HQ staff puts you at 85%. Personnally i'd be convinced if you see less than one 1/4 resist after 100 tries, since it's a very good indication of capped hit rate.

    Hey Arthars when you were talking about zerging down the Vamp did you need 2hrs other than the Smn's?
