Sorry if I sound like an ass, but its kind of annoying to see people gawking at parses of these weapons when its probably the least reliable way of gathering information on them. Try to include as much information as possible.

I'm sure your parses are well appreciated, Krispy. I've actually been working on getting shells for the OAT GKT so I'm pretty excited about that.

The merit parties I make usually consists of DDs that I personally know and play aggresive and healers I can trust. The pick-up people are usually the BRDs & CORs. I will take SS's of their TP & WS sets and post them also their playstyles.

With all due respect, I do appreciate your accomplishment of completing this weapon and applaud your willingness to share info on it.

However, parses have been presented (on other weapons in this thread), and save for the ones that were used to test the OAT properties and perhaps other less clear aspects, they did not serve to provide much clarity.

Comparative parses (those contrasting one player to another) are by their nature, unreliable tools for evaluating very much of anything. Unless I am missing something, everything we need to know is sitting right there on the weapon stats now that OAT has been more or less solidified.

Again, this is not to be unappreciative, but how well you parse in a party is not at issue.

TP Set - No Skadi pants in TP because I'm just eyes away from OAT dagger to maintain 5tp/hit although I do have them were I to care a huge amount about being supposedly optimal. No Dusk gloves +1 cuz I'm gimp, no Cuchu Mantle cuz I can't afford one yet (almost enough gil though). ACP Body Acc/DW. Toreador's Ring. Swift Belt because I'm better than Lordcanti.

WS Set - No hq because I just haven't put the gil into getting angelskins to make the heca again. Ambiguous gears and other crap: Flame Ring, not a att or acc aug on warwolf, could use another Triumph over Brutal.


Double March, Chaos, Hunters. Overall I was pretty aggressive, did have over 100 tp a few times because I waited for SA or TA unless it was a Puk or Mamool Wyvern which I usually just used an unstacked Evisceration on. I used a Hellsteak because I figured the COR would suck a little less on keeping rolls up on the party in general and thus my Acc suffered a little. I coulda used Pizza, to bump up Melee DoT, drop my WS dmg a bit, but it probably would have ran out to roughly the same result.

I hope that is somewhat conclusive and insightful to my THF that was parsed against.

oops sorry double post... I was using Hasso whenever Dread Spikes was up and using Last Resort to pretty much Hundredfist swing. If I went overly aggresive I would've died constantly to Skoffins and Rushing Slash. ( Tarutaru limitations ) I also had hate majority of the time so the Fire spits would constantly own me even with the RDM & DNC full time curing me.

For future reference, if you insist on using parsing to determine anything, go to La Vaule[S]. Fairly certain that's about as consistent as you're going to get, as apposed to MJSP, which is essentially the worst possible location to parse.

In all honesty you're not going to be fighting mobs with crap evasion unless you're using the weapon for farming purposes. I'm sure that this has proven that the weapon even in situations where the mob's evasion can be high ( THF & NIN mobs ) can do very good against other types of dd's. You really don't see DRK/SAM in MJSP using Perdu sickle these days anymore. It's usually Apoc DRKs or WAR/SAM or even SAM/WAR trumping these DD's and I'm just trying to prove that this weapon can keep up or even do better. Same with bird parties. Usually a Tomoe SAM can rape everyone but I actually did better. Anyways I hope this info encourages more people to make this great weapon! Happy huntings and enjoy.

Useless on anything you can use hasso on pretty much. Good for war/nin in dynamis and shit like that I guess.

Yes that was exactly my point lol. Any time you are able to hasso /sam you will beat dual wield.
