just a little correction here, venom shower does way the fuck more than 500 dmg. at least, it's possible to do more:

so don't go fighting him thinking if you have 700hp or so you'll be fine. i don't understand why the huge spread in numbers, but it hurts. bad.

I'm pretty sure this is what was fixed in the update the other day. Venom Shower can definitely do up to 900+ damage though.

- Have mages stay on top of cliff. it CANNOT climb cliff (runs around it).
- debuffs did not land (maybe ES will work, certainly will help if it does)
- very fast attack rate. but weak (100dmg ish without shield proc to pld)
- gravity horn WS is the black beam. knock back. shadows taken. 1000+ dmg w/ S4.
- builds resistance to stun, keep it minimum.
- bliz4 600dmg. garuda does well too.
- dropped STR8 belt.
- not that much HP, about 20min fight.
- there MIGHT be a slight hate reset ... not sure, sorry.

i'd go pld/war, pld/drk, pld/blu with minne/tacos if i go again. aegis will help greatly. fuck i want one.

Anyone got a strat that worked for them on Lamprey Lord? His en-poison was rediculous. The constant triple attacks made keeping the poison off virtually impossible as well.

If you don't have enough BLM to push through his HP with timed nukes then having a BLU headbutt spam makes this fight very manageable.

I think the reason we got smoked is because we had too much melee and not enough magical damage.... oh and the whole not knowing about how potent the en-poison was. It seemed to stack like Serket (S)' too but that im unclear on.

Krabkatoa was editted in the Ninja update the other day. Just killed it with 9 people.
Range on Venom Shower is about 20.4. Won't get hit is your sitting @ 20.6.

Not sure if this is how it's supposed to be but while in the possession of a Colorful Abyssite I bought another Clear Abyssite and now whenever I go hunt in Ronfaure/Jugner all I keep getting are Sunderclaws and Quagmire Pugils >_>

I was under the assumption that buying a new one discarded the old one.

I'd actually start on it but I dont have photoshop on my new laptop just yet.

A strategy I had in mind for that one (not tested yet) was to have 4x RDM/NIN and 2x SAM with Soboros. 4x RDM/NIN would stand in a bukake circle jerk and rotationally nuke. During 2 hour, the Soboro SAM's would come in and rotationally keep it Hobaku/stun locked and rinse repeat. (Hobaku spam mentioned from a previous post)

You can probably substitute a RDM with a COR, BRD or SMN for extra MP + damage.
