My LS just got done fighting Yilbegan in West Sarutabaruta and it was a fucking pushover.. it did hardly anything nasty, and yesterday we fought it in Xarcabard, it was a much more difficult fight, does this things level increase depending on what zone you pop it in?
edit* no kill depop at 21% .. for thos who only like to speculate.
Is the consensus that all of the [S] NM's don't provide (good) drops or titles? Just looked through the thread briefly and couldn't find a definitive answer one way or the other...
If it's still being argued... here's my info..
T1-T2 in modern West Saruta
T2-T3 (Jyestha) in West Saruta [S] 1/1 - after having gone maybe 0/15 in present.
T3 Orcus - W. Saruta [S] - (Originally scanned present zone and couldn't get a reading.. Used maw, went to past and popped there) - Crystal broke on pop, received 2 drops - Gold Ore and Petrified log - 100 limit points with (I think) 11 people alive - No title change.
I have yet to see a tier 2 NM drop anything in East Ron [S] or Pash Marshlands [S].
Also~ looking for a bit of information on obtaining key items when dead ect. Do you have to be alive to receive a key item when the mob dies? If by some chance the popper disconnects, are they able to get the key item when the NM is killed? Do you have to be in the party/alliance that kills the mob to obtain the key item if say the popper accidentally drops party or gets booted by mistake?
From what a know so far, no one has been able to get a tier 3 key item if they were killed by the tier 2 NM they popped and is still dead when it is killed. Also had a mishap tonight where one of our poppers dropped party to create a 3rd party and the mob got killed. They didn't receive the key item. Maybe just bad luck on % of receiving the item?
NMs in the past are no different than the present. Random is random. Got a ring + helm off past Krab.
question about Feuerunke
can it be graved?
and is it random for Feuerunke or the bone NM to show up in Xarc area T1?
an also have anyone killed a T3, yet got no title and get drops?
I will say no, can't remember if i try it.
What you mean by xarc area T1? You know those areas can use to pop T1-4 right? If you have colorful crystal, then you can pop those. Those are random unless you use apradar or some sort to see. If you kill the bone, the other will be 100% toad. Repop is 1hr for each of them.
Apradar works for finding em?
Yep.
Most T2 NMs are a utter joke as RDM/NIN duo if you know what to do and can probably kill most T3s with a single party.
I can totally see a nerf coming during the next update, unless level 80 gear will make these obsolete.
yeah apradar works . you just need to unlock it and click on "show all" .
ohhh ap radar XD
can even see the name of NM too? hahaha
and still....is T2 type of NM random? or is there a pattern of which you get eg. Bone or Toad in xarcabard/glacer/[s]
There are 2 T2 mobs in each zone, so one is Bone and one is Toad in Glacier and each have 1 hour repop once killed, with the direction message it's random which of the two you get though ya unless you AR it.
About the T3 with drops and no title, that happened to us last night with crab.
Edit: The T2 mobs are different for each path/region if that is what you mean, Rolanberry is two pixie nm's for example.
Duo'd Capricornus with BRD/NIN and NIN/DNC; very easy fight.
- BRD 2x Mambo and Elegy
- NIN/DNC full eva set. (~75% evasion rate) + Hojo, Kura
He uses Mighty Strikes every 20% damage, and when he drops under 20% he appears to use Mighty Strikes on a timed interval of ~1.5 min. Although, I read a testimonial earlier in thread saying they didn't get Mighty Strikes'd at all, weird. During which, he will spam Recoil Drive about 7-8 times, then go after the last person he used Recoil Drive on. 1st Recoil Drive will always hit the tank, because you can't outrun it fast enough, but then it will immediately go after the next person in rotation. Hate is reset even though he doesn't land Recoil Drive (too far away'd him). Standing approximately 20' from him and when he starts chasing you run, and you should out of range him. With elegy, hojo and double mambo, he's a joke to tank. The splash move did exactly 400 dmg to NIN.
The ones in [S] [i]seem[i/] to be harder, especially when you're duo'ing or solo'ing. Capricornus, in this example, seemed to have a higher accuracy rate in East Ronfaure [S] versus Jugner. This is also supported by a few others who have reported something similar about difficulty on the [S] versions.
