The T1 elementals are mostly easy for COR, just kite around obstacles and try to not die.

I have also had this on the scorp t2 NM, was KO'd and got colour change.

I doubt the title thing too, we got helm drop and no title on crab.

On Krab, does Venom Shower cast instantly? Would it be feasible to try and spam a Venom Potion before he gets Venom Shower off?

just stand out of range if you aren't tanking it

if you are, it's 1400 damage between DoT and original damage.. that's only 2 cure 5s :/ not worth worrying about really..

Duo'd Capricornus with BRD/NIN and NIN/DNC; very easy fight.

- BRD 2x Mambo and Elegy
- NIN/DNC full eva set. (~75% evasion rate) + Hojo, Kura

He uses Mighty Strikes every 20% damage, and when he drops under 20% he appears to use Mighty Strikes on a timed interval of ~1.5 min. Although, I read a testimonial earlier in thread saying they didn't get Mighty Strikes'd at all, weird. During which, he will spam Recoil Drive about 7-8 times, then go after the last person he used Recoil Drive on. 1st Recoil Drive will always hit the tank, because you can't outrun it fast enough, but then it will immediately go after the next person in rotation. Hate is reset even though he doesn't land Recoil Drive (too far away'd him). Standing approximately 20' from him and when he starts chasing you run, and you should out of range him. With elegy, hojo and double mambo, he's a joke to tank. The splash move did exactly 400 dmg to NIN.

The ones in [S] [i]seem[i/] to be harder, especially when you're duo'ing or solo'ing. Capricornus, in this example, seemed to have a higher accuracy rate in East Ronfaure [S] versus Jugner. This is also supported by a few others who have reported something similar about difficulty on the [S] versions.

As a caveat, he can recoil dive for quite a significant amount of damage. He hit my NIN for 1200 through a shadow, one-shotting me with the gear I had on.

We duod it as pld/nin rdm/whm. Took forever though because atonement never broke 250dmg because of rapid hate decay. Tried mnk/nin rdm/whm first but rdm died to fast because once it two hrs hate was reset and couldnt get hate fast enough. Fun fight though, went through a full stack of shadows on it though.

A few questions to those who have solo'd Erebus:
-Do you attempt to outrange -ga nukes or just move far enough to recast Utsu before he hits you and eat them?
-Does it only cast Thunder4 and Thundaga3 in lightning mode? Can it cast Stun too?
-Any particular spot where to kill it?

only casts spells matching it's mode, recommended to use filters in a manner so that you don't see it's self targetted spells in log so if you see it casting you change it's element quickly.. just try to keep it in the more harmless modes(earth, water, air)

anywhere if you do it in present, in past i'd assume somewhere where you won't aggro

Only time we have got title of a tier 3 is when ring dropped, small sample size but have done total of 6 various tier 3s for 1 ring, and only that crab gave title.

Didn't someone report not getting title from a chariot recently? Possible that titles are borked in general? My LS is 2/4 on titles and drops had no correlation, nor did color change. 2/4 on black abyssite, one came from a title fight the other did not.

It's not really anything for mages to worry about though (I suppose unless you're trying with 6 or less). Keep Stoneskin up before goes off and you'll have to recast it twice during the duration of the poison and toss yourself a Cure III.
