The doom is pretty straightfoward, just blizz 3 when you can and keep bio/poison on while pinning around the three trees. For the bones, you want to run out of range of aga if you dont have an mdt set (which I did not) and when it uses single target spells switch its element during cast so that it nukes itself. For instance, keep it in fire mode and when it starts casting Fire IV, cast Water I on it, then Fire after the casting is complete. Also, if you have time/mp you can toss Thunder III's on it followed with a Fire I to put it back into Fire mode. Depending on how often it nukes itself, the bones can be a pretty quick fight (took me about 20min) and the doom toad took about 30. Good Hunting!
Good to hear Erebus works. :D

I have been soloing and chaining tier-1 VNMs and I've probably killed up to 25 of these fuckers (exp isn't bad!) but my abyssite is still clear. Is this normal for it to take so long? I have killed mostly pugils/crabs as well as a handful of beetles/bees.

It took me 11 T1s to change my abyssite to T2. I suppose it's not uncommon to have a low change rate because of how commonplace T1s are.

The worst I've heard was my friend who went 1/52 on tier 1.

He is currently like 0/14 on tier 2, and is understandably quite frustrated with the system.

To be honest, any job that can switch its element while it's casting to make Erebus nuke itself can probably solo this fight. It's pretty funny actually, when I solo'd it, it did like 5 Fire IV's on itself in a row, each doing 900+ each, a couple doing 1k+ (it was firesday). Also, using Kaeko's trick it is unbelievably easy to avoid getting hit by it - I didn't even come close. The only sort of loophole to using a job other than something like rdm/nin is that it will be extremely hard to pull Erebus, especially if it pops in a very inopportune place.

Edit: The quickest way to do Erebus would be with an MDT set. If you have one, you can stay in range for every Firaga III and make it switch element, thus ensuring that it never heals itself and always damages itself. My friend has mine atm, so I just ran out of range during Aga. However, it didn't seem to Cure itself with aga that frequently, or at least the Tier IV's it does to itself offset any type of curing that aga would provide it. In addition, RDM Nukes or COR QD's combined with Erebus self nuking itself will far offset the occassional curing aga if you are unable to stay in range.

Just did Yacumama. Best glitch positions are the fences in Ronf (S) that curve inward. They look like...

    /--\

It's not the best spot, but the only one I could find to get a glitch in any of the 4 zones. You don't kite in a circle, but stay on the convex side of the wall in the middle. When you hug the wall from the outside, the mob will 'think' you are on the concave side and run there, making it loop. You then take 1-2 steps away from the wall at a tangent. The mob will then think you're on the outside (which you are) and loop. This spot isn't that great because if it gets too close to you, it will not loop back and melee. There is a trick to get it to loop back even if it's in melee range but was very rough. Unlike the other spots I mentioned, if you screw up on timing the pin you will get hit - the others you just run and re-establish without getting touched. I got hit a couple times because of it. Pixie was near me which made it easier.

(this glitch thing was an old Ixion hold trick btw)

Took ~36 minutes solo with no 2HR. Hundred fists every 20% and anytime during the last 20%. Has en-water when fisted. Uses maelstrom and ink jet. When using ink jet, it takes forever to recover after using the WS and it'll just sit there for a good 4-5 seconds. I used this time to cast refresh or get a T3 nuke off. I kept phalanx on at all times and ate a taco for security. Allied Sigil was also helpful for regen/refresh.

For COR with running speed, you can also kite around the stone walls that make an "L" shape. I didn't like the spot because you can only barely outrun it and can't cast, but for COR that's not an issue. It's a more straightforward kite path and involves less timing.

Probably going to do Erebus next just to say I did it using BME's info. After that I'm short Shogg (Rog has a good writeup on this using a MDT set), Capricornus (should be similar to Yac?), and then the tough ones - fly and 2 pixie.

Capricornus is laughable to straight tank, farruca fly isn't much harder

skuld shouldn't be much different than shoggoth

i'd venture a guess that urd just plain isn't soloable based on the curing though, at times SAM + RDM is a standstill with it and nukes didn't work particularly well

I know Cap was probably the first to be solo'd. Fly I actually have not heard anything about. Seems like Cursed Sphere spam would be bad right? I think has TP regain?

If it has regain, it's very weak regain(not more than 1 tp move per minute). Average geared RDM should be fine, as long as you have echos + MDT. The most threatening thing is enpara, procrate seemed pretty high.

    Sounds good.

Never fought Urd either, but would really be cool to see all 10 Tier IIs solo'd. The casting mechanics are such that it doesn't always use Cure IV right? If it's like say Brothers ENM after 50% HP where they only use Cure V then it's impossible. But if it still chooses from other light spells like blink could possibly have a chance (though a long fight). Poison + Bio III is 360HP/minute. So if it uses Cure IV average every 3 casts you'd still make progress right?

Give me a second to check logs, I'm pretty sure he has sub-standard casting delay. His AI will choose from protect, shell, stoneskin, regen, and (post-33%) cure 4.. but he won't recast buffs if they're dispelled. I don't think it's viable to keep them dispelled constantly, but it might be possible, anyway checking logs rq.

Seems to be 20 second cast delay instead of the normal 30.

    Code:
    [12:35:30]Urd casts Cure IV.

    [12:35:30]Urd recovers 394 HP.
If it only did it every fourth cast you'd slowly make progress, I suppose it could be possible if you have the mp to keep all buffs dispelled(since he would theoretically have a 1/5 chance of casting cure).

Ah the 20 second casting time might kill this solo.

Nukes also do heavily reduced damage right?

Probably shot in the dark, but resist's stun?

Seems to have about 50% MDT, I don't have the time to look through logs again but I screwed up and tried to CS kill one at 5% and wasn't able to.

Is it possible to nuke Skuld at all?

I tried to solo it last night and slowly got it to 50%. Ended up dying due to not being ready for the 2 hour, was hoping to speed it up but my nukes would only land for about 110ish.

Minor correction to the Urd info Thorny shared - Urd will start casting Cure 4 at around 45%, not 33%.

Shogg is rather easy, there's a great large rock to kite around just outside Bastok which you (but not him) can cast through.

Iunno, I was in the past when I discovered it, never bothered checking the present. The rock itself is around G-9, so I'd assume it exists both in past and present.

Kiting around that one its easy to even nuke him whenever you want. The only thing that can possibly fuck you up is if you get unlucky and he manage to get a chainspelled Sleepga II off, but you can bring poison fruit with you to prevent that.
