That character has 3 t3 pops I plan to duo/trio today, figured more conclusive information about plugin+shadow would be worth it seeing as one of them will most likely upgrade anyway and I wouldn't otherwise have a chance to use that black before the t3s.

do we know if they were popped with shadows and weren't obtained during the fight?

I'm in that LS, and I highly doubt anyone knows whether they were popped with or obtained during the fight. They were 3-4 weeks ago if I remember correctly.

edit: they were some of our first kills which is why the SS compilation was made.

I guess for now we'll have to think that its totally random, whether you get True/Shadow.

I've also been following the monster's movement patterns when there aren't rivals. I haven't found anything conclusive yet but I'll report in if I do.

Has anyone been able to witness a VNM with shadow then no shadow ?

Also seems that everytime it pops it figures the shadow/no shadow thing, doesn't seem to be predetermined and then "revealed" per se on pop. Popped a yilbegan today which popped with mist and had the misfortune of double attack crits on pop and wiped the taru. Repopped with another trigger a minute later and it had no mist/shadow.

So from those pictures of Yilbegan, even with the shadow present you can still not get a ring drop but it just seems that instead you'll get something unique like Kadife or Agrona's?

I guess that is a step up from lootpools with 2 Gold Ingots and a Petrified log.

imo ring is like 50% drop, if mob have Shadow. No shadow mean no ring for sure, other drop seem to have better drop rate when it has shadow too.

I don't think Ring drop is random. Ring probably only has a chance to drop on Shadowed NMs, and no chance on non-Shadowed ones. That is the next thing to confirm.

Just throwing in a short report

Lord Ruth, no shadow and marching belt drop. No title.

2x Yilb, no shadow, both dropped scarlet kadife. No title.

(Also a good thing to think about is to not have everyone close to the spawn point when he's popped. We popped a 3rd today that decided to cast breakga as he spawned pretrifying the whole ally. He then proceded to kill the popper and depop, waste of black abbysite but gave us a good laugh!)

Our Krab with shadow/title/no ring dropped 1x Krab Shell, mahogany log, and igneous barnacle. No abyssite upgrade either.
