I vastly prefer being able to see the mob than have to open up Apradar and zoom in, filter the mob, and work my way onto it. I imagine anyone with a brain would.

I'm sorry, I assumed anyone who had access to said plugin wouldn't need to run around zones to find mobs. If you read my last post, you might have interpreted as such.

Pretty clear now that Shadows = Titles. We've had a Ruthven with shadow not drop belt or ring but gave us title, like some other T3s in the thread.

Ironically enough, I was the one who provided the initial confirmation. What more do you want, it's pretty obvious how it works. (Aside from the no shadow before/gaining shadow after. Though through conversing with others and testing myself, I'm pretty sure this is random. I'm looking for any sort of pattern, but I'm pretty positive one doesn't exist.)

There probably isn't, but I've been without a laptop for over a week, so I haven't been able to do VNMs since all this flurry of information. I had screenshots on my computer of pop/fight/kill of over 30 T3s, but I wiped the drive by accident last week. Maybe that could have been a decent sample size to look at.

Started with a shadow, about 20 minutes into the fight lost its shadow, 1 shell 1 log 1 RR acubens helm, no title, cant determine black flag etc.

Are you sure? I think this is the first we've heard of the shadow status changing mid-fight right? Do you recall (or have a log for) anything specific that happened just prior to it losing the shadow?

If the status can change from having a shadow to not having a shadow mid-fight, obviously we can hope that the opposite could be true as well.

I always played with shadows off(I still do) for the past several years. However because of the discussion on BG, friend in ally decided to keep his shadows on for the VNMs tonight.

Did 3 Yilbegans, according to him first two had no shadows, no ring drops, no titles.

First off, I don't think he took any pics so, I won't have anything to prove on his point and that I apologize, it wasn't really something we planned on verifying anyways. Third Yilb he said had a shadow, and when we killed it we got this

I need 10 eye of verthandi like I'm sure a lot of people do. I have a bunch of friends, two LS but hard to get people motivated for such a shit NM when its ring is terrible. The only thing other ppl want is the same thing I want.

What's the lowest safe Verthandi kill and how long would it take for me to pile these eyes up?

Not sure if this has been noticed before with Yilbegan, since people tend to go PLD/bloodtank, but Dancing Tail changes it's number of hits depending if wings are up or down.

I was tanking it on NIN last night, and noticed that I was absorbing some Dancing tails completely, whereas others I was still taking damage after a fresh Ni. figured it out to be due to the wings.

We wiped at ~85% because not enough DD and Doom got off on the tanks after a backline pulled hate. Probably doesnt help that half of the charactors in the group were 2boxed.

While we're still trying to nail down a workable strat, I thought I'd share this observation about Dancing Tail.
