Tiger T3 in La Thaine is a pain in the ass.

    Haste
    Aeroga III
He also triple attack often for 300ish dmg on my rdm + 100ish En aero
umm. Stone IV after i cast it didnt show up in my log as resisting or doing dmg, also same thing happened to Bio II. But yes his names in Dawon

We just popped Void Hare in La Theine, T1 VNM. We did get a colorful, now we are trying to pop a tier 2, and we checked all 3 crag zones and no monsters in the area, does anyone know anything on the cool down ?

Yeah Dawon is a real pain, very high triple attack rate and constant Claw Cyclone spam. Got a dragon pop from a non-shadow Dawon, has anyone killed one with a shadow and got a drop?

Tier 3 VNM in Konschtat Highlands (most likely in all 3 crag areas)

    Dawon: Tiger

    Spell/Ability List:
    Silencega
    Aeroga III
    Graviga
    Haste (Dispelable)
Also, it has the normal TP moves as any other tiger with the exception of one move called “Disorienting Waul” that is a medium radius AoE Amnesia that usually lasted around 60sec.

We also noticed that when he casts Haste it received a hidden “Blink” effect that would proc fairly often and Diaga did not work on erasing it. It is susceptible to Stun but the “Blink” effect made it hard to interrupt Aeroga III. We had no problems landing Slow and Elegy and its highly recommended to have Baraera up on the tanks 100% of the time. It seems to run faster than most T3 VNMs so trying to use the “pinning” method is unlikely.

    Our Setup ended up being:
    PT1 – Rng x4, Sam, Cor
    PT2 – Whm, Rdm/Drk, Thf, Sam, Smn
    PT3 – Pld/Nin x2, Whm x2, Brd/Blm, Rdm

We ended up fighting it around G-10 with the mages up on the hill to avoid AoE etc… He also has very high acc and almost constant DA or TA the whole time. The fight was going semi-smooth for that fact we didn’t know what to expect from him until he hit 36% and used Perfect Dodge… which also allows him to constantly throw Claw Cyclone back to back. Not only this but he PD’d 3 times in succession with no waiting period in between. Not expecting this we ended up wiping. A good strat for this would be to have Rangers shadowbind it until all 3 PD’s are over. Running from the WS seemed to be difficult since his range for WS was past 15’. During this he ticked up to 37% so he does have a low regen effect. We also started the fight with Odin which did over 6k (don’t remember exact) which brought him to 87%. The rangers was averaging ~100 per hit with Cor rolls and WS’ing for around 500-800dmg. He was also hitting for around 150dmg with 150-200dmg from Enspells which cannot be Dispelled. Its not a bad fight just that the constant double/triple attacks put a number on our mages MP.

We got Dawon to 74% almost effortlessly until one of the tanks died during SP. By 70% we began to wipe due to our other tank taking an Aeroga III and 7 hits almost instantaneously. Doing DMG to NM is not really an issue. Need fast heals and lots of them :/ Magic Def. for tanks may be a good investment. Melee hits on PLD are weak but fast (Claw Cyclone still rapegas); Aegis PLD still takes 150+ dmg per attack from the added effect. We couldn't discern whether this was more wind dmg or light.

Disorienting Waul can be used by the NM Le Value or w/e, its a Tiger in Bat.Downs.(S)!

That tiger looks huge and as previously stated, firs thing through my mind was Byakko2.0 ;; i hate tanking Byakko :\

I just ended up stacking up on shield skill full time because of it's ridiculously high triple attack proc rate, the fight isn't too hard if healers focus on the tanks

If stun lands reliably on Dawon, may I suggest every mage sub /drk ( or anybody with a free /subjob ) and spam stun thruout the fight.

This was a strategy I used on lowmanning Byakko (7-10 ppl) and it works wonders with duo pld/nin tanks.

Cannot stun it reliably, we tried stunning -ga III and got resisted every time. Even flash is resisted at times.

We tried the tiger NM twice, first time we got it down to 51% second time 9%, when we dropped it below 25% is started 2hring back to back to back, while in its 2hr it was spamming Claw Cyclone, our tanks were screwed for hate and couldn't do anything, rangers keep DDing it, while it just ran around, it never stopped 2hring, so melee couldn't do shit to down it quicker.

just one fucked up NM .-.

All other VNM were crazy over powered when they were introduced, then they were toned down like a week later. Not saying they will, but it's possible.

Idk if you got to fight the Tiger VNM yet, but ... there doesn't seem to be a solid plan that just works 100% like all the other VNMs, always when we push the mob under 25% it goes bat shit crazy, spamming Perfect Dodge, and then its TP regain goes through the roof and hate comes unmanageable, and we're not taking our sweet time where it would hit a rage timer or anything, 5-10 minutes at most we bring the thing down to the point where it just goes ape shit, the rest of the fight from 100%-26% is so smooth that it's like fighting byakko on an even more tamed level then you could get him to today without the stuns of course.

Molech's are relentless with me. With movement speed pants (8%), sneak/deo/invis etc not only did the original catch up with me but he brought 4 friends yesterday lol...

I love Ulegrande Range, when people think they can sleep one of the mobs, invis, sneak, deo, and book it all the way up to camp, every time the Molech's links with another mob, it will not stop until there is nothing left to link with, and by that point you would probably have 6+ mobs knocking on your door with a double sided dildo asking if ted is home.

The double side is when your bard/red mage/white mage respose, sleeps, lullabys them and then you get fucked too

seems like no one has downed Dawon yet.
wanted to ask if he drops a title cos his title wasnt listed in the update mined thread, but strangely neither was his NM name entry.. so maybe it was missed out.

anyway for the sake of continuity and completion, i somehow managed to squeeze and add the Beasts path into my chart. Took out some stuff that I think most people didnt ever bother with to begin with to make space..
    Link: http://wilddragonchase.blogspot.com/...nm-system.html

as for Dawon. I'm speculating his drop pool here.. and if he follows in the 4 unique drop structure.. (2 eq 2 item) I think his drop pool is most likely

Leonine Mask (tiger mask model.. lv75 eq)
Succor Ring (cos its a lv75 ra/ex ring and same artwork theme i think)
    G. Blk Tiger Fang (which makes sense since Dawon IS a giant black tiger)
Pelt of Dawon (has Dawon's name in it)

The only thing that stands out is that none of either speculated general items are EX unlike the other T3 drops.. but I dont think Dawons drops are needed for trials either.. so idk.. its all speculated anyway..
