Tier 3 VNM in Konschtat Highlands (most likely in all 3 crag areas)
Dawon: Tiger
Spell/Ability List:
Silencega
Aeroga III
Graviga
Haste (Dispelable)
Also, it has the normal TP moves as any other tiger with the exception of one move called “Disorienting Waul” that is a medium radius AoE Amnesia that usually lasted around 60sec.
We also noticed that when he casts Haste it received a hidden “Blink” effect that would proc fairly often and Diaga did not work on erasing it. It is susceptible to Stun but the “Blink” effect made it hard to interrupt Aeroga III. We had no problems landing Slow and Elegy and its highly recommended to have Baraera up on the tanks 100% of the time. It seems to run faster than most T3 VNMs so trying to use the “pinning” method is unlikely.
Our Setup ended up being:
PT1 – Rng x4, Sam, Cor
PT2 – Whm, Rdm/Drk, Thf, Sam, Smn
PT3 – Pld/Nin x2, Whm x2, Brd/Blm, Rdm
We ended up fighting it around G-10 with the mages up on the hill to avoid AoE etc… He also has very high acc and almost constant DA or TA the whole time. The fight was going semi-smooth for that fact we didn’t know what to expect from him until he hit 36% and used Perfect Dodge… which also allows him to constantly throw Claw Cyclone back to back. Not only this but he PD’d 3 times in succession with no waiting period in between. Not expecting this we ended up wiping. A good strat for this would be to have Rangers shadowbind it until all 3 PD’s are over. Running from the WS seemed to be difficult since his range for WS was past 15’. During this he ticked up to 37% so he does have a low regen effect. We also started the fight with Odin which did over 6k (don’t remember exact) which brought him to 87%. The rangers was averaging ~100 per hit with Cor rolls and WS’ing for around 500-800dmg. He was also hitting for around 150dmg with 150-200dmg from Enspells which cannot be Dispelled. Its not a bad fight just that the constant double/triple attacks put a number on our mages MP.
