The absolutely ridiculous part about this is that despite the fact that it would make an actually useful 3rd slot for Machismo or other aern weapons, it's size 7 when the max slot size on the weapons is 5! WTF?!

Essentially the only thing that will fit on is the Ebur Body pieces since they cap at 8. /golfclap now excuse me, I have an ebur coat to de-synergize and resell to afford some better gear for my SCH.

Don't even know why I got my hopes up. The naysayers in December were pretty much right, Evolith just doesn't have any luster. Some might say "well wait till future updates." This was their opportunity to put something good in. Even if it's good in the next update doesn't change the fact that the system was essentially 95% not worth using for half a year.

Byrth, problem is, is that there's nowhere good to put these evolith. Pretty much Aern Weapons is it, and for the most part those are pretty much not good at all. This gives me reason to be concerned about the Magian system. It's a lil cool so far, but with how limited in scope it is now, Evolith's track record doesn't make me feel confident about future breadth.

If they wanted to make +10% darkness skillchain damage even mildly interesting, they need to increase the number of weapons/armor that can hold it 10-fold. And then they need to let you put in like 5 etchings per piece, and make the apertures more flexible w/ what they can hold. And even then, the system wouldn't be broken cause of how slapstick and random the stats are.

The evolith system is starting to look like trash, I completely agree. There are very few evoliths that are worth getting, and as its been said there isnt a huge selection of gear and weapons to hold it. I think they need to stop and rethink this. Even with the normal weapons, and armor they should add suitable etchings, AND apertures. I think they went the wrong direction with the actual ebon/ebur/furia gear. The gear should be able to hold both, a lot more aperture sizes, and a variety of shapes. It really would not be AS bad if you could at least choose your shapes, increase the sizes of apertures, and normal gear had more etchings. I wonder if this gear will be further upgradeable via magian system. I am kind of doubting it.

I'm really starting to think this just isn't worth the time. I was looking at the VNM evoliths and I got excited when I saw Scylla's Evolith ( http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__...rans_Light.gif Songs: Cast. time -3~6% Darkhttp://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__...Trans_Dark.gifTriangleUpEmptyhttp://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__...TriangleUp.gif1~8 ) just to find the only piece this would fit on is the pieces from the Ebur body set. Ebur Talar isn't a bad piece but -1-8 Song Casting time isn't very good for a body. Yigit still beats it. I'm not sure what the Fast Cast is on the Ebur Talar but the +3 Magic Accuracy isn't too bad I guess. I can't think of any other body pieces that might have Fast Cast and Magic Acc. on them with or without CHR. If you're lucky enough to get the -8% Song Casting on the Ebur Talar, maybe it's not half bad?

Seems kind of interesting if it's a duration increase. Maybe the aern stave can hold that shape/element?

It came from Cape Terrigan casket anyways. Maybe it'll show up from one of the VNM's also.

Talar is cool. 5% Fast Cast is the best BLU can get. Plus, +5CHR +3MACC and +5MAB for Eyes on Me is also good. (with 2 slots left for family focus - dragons maybe)

edit: Just etched and tested the water evolith. SCH weather in Rolanberry Fields: 100% activation for 16-17 dmg per.
I guess the dark dmg evolith could be mildly useful for events like Einherjar, Apolyon, and Dynamis, but nothing spectacular about them.

I go with some random Japanese players I know to fight Scylla every now and then.
I have gotten a -6% Light for my body, which isn't max, but not terrible...

But what IS cool is that I found a Size 6 -3% Light Song Evolith off Scylla, once, which I use for my Ebur Tam.

If you go often enough, you will eventually get a BAD evolith that lets you fit pieces into other slots. Still looking for a theoretically possible -2% Size 5 for my feet/hands/legs.

Also remember the 5% Fast Cast should be totalled in there. Isn't it like Fast-Cast/2? So an extra 2.5% making the cap out... -8% and 5 Fast cast for a split % faster than Yigit Gomlek? Yes, I have a Manteel. I use the Ebur Talar for Light Songs and just for general Magic Accuracy since its not a bad piece after you (1) add a Vs. Evolith (2) do the math.
