It annoys me to no end that all of these crazy ass conspiracy theorists also have to be "libertarians" and Ron Paul supporters. I have no desire to be lumped in with these idiots.

The ultimate irony is that conspiracy theorists will yell at "normal people" for being unable to handle reality but it's really the other way around. Conspiracy theorists can't handle the fact that the world is a pretty dull place overall, that people are typically and on the average decent humans, and that sometimes bad shit just happens and a long line of errors is perfectly possible under even the most rigorously controlled conditions.

Sometimes shit just happens. Oddly, unlikely, but it happens. I'd feel differently about you if you felt that the world was the way it was but in one given instance things might not be what they seem, but if EVERYTHING is a conspiracy then it's clear that you choose to dissociate yourself from reality and have constructed a new one in which life is more exciting and interesting.

How many people would be involved in the placing, hiding, production, sale, and execution of the thermite in the WTC towers thing? The 9/11 conspiracy that you like to believe involves likely hundreds of people all covering up. In this day and age where it seems like any secret is outed pretty easily, I find it hard to believe that no substantive documentation has come forth.

There is no single person that has come forward as a member of the plot. There were hundreds of people that witnessed the plane hit the pentagon- it flew directly and at low altitude over a major highway and a highly populated area. Not one has come forward and said "no, I saw it clearly and it was a missile, not a plane." You have no evidence, just holes in your understanding of physics, engineering, and human nature that cause you to misinterpret bits of information. Not to mention you don't know the difference between causative and correlative.

Fact is: The evidence shows that the popular opinion of events is what holds true. If you want to dispute that, it is up to you to provide ANY substantive evidence. Not "bizarre coincidences" or correlations, or holes in the given theory. Hard evidence to the contrary. And there is none. And there never has been any for ANY major pop conspiracy.

The question is not why do other people refuse to listen to YOU.

The question is why are you so enamored with inherently unprovable fantasies?

I'd like to chime in here.

First of all, cursed. You need to understand why these things come about. For example, secret societies came about in an era where deviation from popular dogma resulted in social castration at best, or at worst, burning at the stake. Understanding that, i'm surprised only so few remnants of these secret societies survived to this time.

Second thing to be understood, is the nature of politics. Billionaires, politicians and religious leaders have more in common with themselves then with you or I. Chiefly they share things like, money, power and the desire to remain in money and power. Which leads to discussions and actions that not all people are directly privy to. Their discussions amongst themselves regarding those whose their livelihood is dependent upon will always be more sincere and honest then when they speak of the same matter publicly. You'll never hear a politician address his public with "Hello, middle income tax stock. Thank you for keeping me wealthy and influential, even though I contribute nothing worthwhile to your society." He might think it, though.

Thirdly, the same people love to keep monopoly on violence for themselves. They have to have all the big guns, and the thugs to carry them. In case the wigs and podiums don't establish the scent of authority, guys in flak armor and giant machine guns will.

I use to think all this stuff is just pure bullshit but I looked around and looked at boths sides storys rather then taking what I was told as what happened and made my own decision that although we might not know what happened on 9/11 but I know its not what the official story says happened.

I don't disagree that the ruling class conspire due to self interests. I just think that it is organized and planned. Like a poster mentioned, it is practical. But the rich don't stay rich by being passive. They lobby collectively, either in politics or through the media.

Who does not want to stay rich, or get richer? Who does not want to have a monopoly on violence? Wouldn't you join a club or an organization that protected your interests? What if all you had to do was keep your mouth shut? As I said in an earlier post, follow the money.

About Violence, aren't Americans suppossed to oppose a monopoly on violence?

There are events that have taken place in very recent history that would be considered conspiracy if not for the fact that less controlled media exposed them.
AbuGhuraib prison, CIA holding cells throughout Europe that even the local governments were not aware of. To think that everything the Government tells you, and everything the media reports is an accurate representation of the current state of afairs is the recourse of a weak mind.

JFK, Nixon/watergate, Lincoln, Bay of Pigs, Vietnam, Noreaga, AbuGhuraib, Nazi Scientists, MK Ultra, and many many other controversial events or characters that till this day have no definitve answer or conclusion/explanation.

The problem with society today is everyone has 5 second memory spans.

Was it not a conspiracy to insert puppet leaders in nations such as Iran & Cuba?

Why did the Iranians dethrone the Shah?
Why was Sadam provided with arms to fight Iran? Or, why was Iran provided weapons to fight Iraq?
Why did Eisenhower state that he had committed the greatest crime against the American people by empowering the Fed?
Why is are the British coming down hard on Tony Blair's administration? The Intel for the case of a war against Iraq was bogus. Who CONSPIRED to decieve the people and indeed the British government itself?

Why did Richard Clark?
For a Democratic society, with an elected government that is suppossed to be transparent and accountable to the people, for the people, by the people, it sho does seem like y'all aint got shit to say, do or know.
