I hate to say it but Texas kinda owns - at least the Dallas area, which has added 1.3mil people in the past 10 years....

I moved here ~6 months ago from MN, where the economy sucked and people in general were miserable.
I didn't have a job and I got the first job I applied for here with a pay raise of over 30%. My girlfriend had competing offers within a month and she got to pick which job she wanted to take. The company I used to work for in MN is now out of business so had I stayed I would be unemployed.
Also there's no state tax so my paychecks are even bigger (although I basically say state tax = tolls in Dallas), there is way more to do, mass transportation is better, Tom Thumb / Safeway totally destroys any grocery store in MN, cost of living is cheaper, fios internet....
I guess my point is it seems more and more people are realizing lolTexas isn't so lol after all.
