    DL'ing WoTG Files

Hello, I'm trying to DL FFXI onto my new computer and for some reason my WoTG disc is missing from my case, I have CD Keys installed on my account for it. Is there a way I can get the files for WoTG w/o paying for a whole new disc?

Yeah, but you have to download the ISO of the install disc from someone else that has it. There is no free official download of anything but the core game, no expansions.

Yes. (Gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and pray you've never used a torrent or iso, otherwise I am gonna have to punch something.)

    1. Download uTorrent. This is a program used to facilitate torrents, which are files used for Peer-to-Peer (P2P) downloads.

9000 + 1. Download a test file with a lot of seeds and few leechers. If it is REALLY slow, google how to configure uTorrent. You should probably google how to configure it either way.

    2. Google "FFXI," "Torrent," and/or "WoTG." Some combination of those should work. Download the torrent with best Seed to Leecher ratio (Prioritize finding the one with the most seeds though).

    3. Open the file with uTorrent.

    4. Deselect the discs or file trees that are NOT WoTG.

    5. Click ok to start downloading the iso file(s).

    6. Masturbate

    7. Fall asleep

    8. Wake up to finished torrent

    9. Mount the iso(s) using magiciso or something like that. Mounting an iso is like sticking an actual disc in your actual optical drive, at least that's how the PC sees it.

    10. Install like a normal disc. You can mount all of them at same time. You may have to direct the installation to the right drive letter when it asks for disc 2.

    11. Finish download.

    12. Log on to FFXI. Go to past.

    13. Masturbate [S]

    14. Tell linkshell abotu it, in great detail.

    15. Make a random list of bullshit punctuated by accidentally helpful tips.

    16. ???

    17. Profit.

(Excuse the bullshit. It's the only way I could find this worth writing for the bajillionth time. Should save this as a file for copypasta.)

Note: While you may not feel comfortable with P2P, I HEARD/THINK (Don't quote me) it is technically legal to download a backup if you own the original, physical discs.

It's not like it matters anyway, What SE really charges for is the registration code, though yes they do want you to buy the game for each platform you play on, but PC discs have no copy protection. You can't use an install of the game without an account or registration code anyway, so there shouldn't be any ethical problem with doing so.
