Saw it tonight, pretty fun movie, never read the books but it was very entertaining!
Was an entertaining movie from the beginning.
Saw it last night and loved it! Surprisingly my whole family did, even those that aren't into comics and the like.
took my fiance to see the movie last night. 8bit intro was hilarious. quite a bit of zelda music used in the film. pretty big changes on the scott vs gideon fight too. comic version of the fight was more epic. needed more multi form final boss fight
I just got back from seeing this. I loved it, as did most of the people in the theater. A few people walked out. It does start out kinda slow, sucks to be them I guess. Most of my friends would probably hate it, which also sucks for them I guess. They would call it too cliche, ha ha. I loved all of the fights, they were definitely the high point of the movie. All the little throwbacks and nods to gaming/comic stuff was great. Most of the comedy was really good, but a little bit felt forced. Would see again. Not in theaters, but once it comes to Blu-Ray, hell yeah it's getting burnt!
This movie was amazing I saw it last night :D Totally worth the 10.50 i paid to see it
I missed the first few minutes because I was getting food ; ;... I will see it again maybe though.
O yea... Qal, you have the soundtrack for us?
Adult Swim Scott Pilgrim Vs the Animation. Enjoy. Its awesome
I was just coming here to post that lmao, you beat me cuz i was skimming through the thread first to check so i wouldn't repost
I think I would love it if it became a show... or miniseries at least. animated that is...
Sadly, this movie has bombed this weekend. Only made 10.5 million. Going up against the Expendables though, they had to expect this. It's also a very niche kind of movie, and definitely does not appeal to as big a crowd as other comic book movies like Iron Man, but that's a-okay by me. A lot of people are missing out on a very fun movie.
Loving the soundtrack for this, been listening to different pieces of it on youtube since I saw the movie waiting for my Best Buy to get it back in stock so I can pick it up for $4.
I'm already stoked on this movie for the potential bonus content that will come on bluray/dvd. I only wish more directors/studios/whoever decides these things did what Kevin Smith does and add the amount of content he does to the disc (3 to 4 hours for Clerks and similar for Chasing Amy I think?)
Seeing it again this week, and again next week when my friends get back from their honeymoon assuming my local theaters keep it for that long.
Well my friends are alright, but their choice in movies is questionable. One of them thinks every movie has to be thought invoking and original with the best acting/production/everything else values in order for it to be good. Yet he hates movies like District 9 and Kick-Ass. Then he likes shit movies like DayBreakers. I don't get him sometimes. One of the others just goes off whatever he says, so it's like Pete & Repeat. My other really close friend will give most things a chance, and would probably like the action, but the story wouldn't be for him. I might go see it with him again, after we see the Expendables. Something tells me I'll like Scott Pilgrim better than mercenary movie #50 of the summer.
Out of most of my friends/people I know, I'm by far the "nerdiest" and they don't get a lot of the stuff I do sometimes. Oh well, their loss.
Same, I'll definitely check this out again.
Funny enough, my real name is Pete.![]()
