ost i think
yea it is.. and CDisplay keeps freezing up on me, and Comical keeps erroring out. I guess I'll look for somethin to read them.
I'm not very nerdy at all (I have no idea wtf people on here are going on about half the time with anime and shit) and loved it. Honestly, every dude between the ages of 20-50 should be able to "get it" pretty easily, it's mostly oldschool video games, over the top action and rock n roll.
I support Netflix. They buy the movies for me. >_> Or on other occasions, I'll buyit, burn it, and sell it to someone else. Done that with a ton of my personal collection on here and through friends. Out of everyone I know personally, I've always bought and supported artists and movies. I have over 950 CD's and 450 DVD's/Blu Ray. I don't think there's anything wrong with me burning my own copy and then selling it.
if you are talking about the books in .cbr or .cbz you can use winrar and unzip them, get them in the original format and use windows photo viewer to read them which i find is better.
Btw saw the movie this morning and i must say it was awesome i want to see it again. Its kinda weird I bought the game which got me interested in the movie and now movie got me interested in the books talk about a backassward start.
Anyone else notice near the end the second time he enters the Chaos Theater you hear someone in the crowd saying something about "the comic being better than the movie"? Thought that was hilarious.
Wildly entertaining watch though not sure I would rewatch it anytime soon.
So I'm assuming a lot of you like the movie because it's a fun ride?
There's just a distinct difference between what the fans who like it are saying, and the general paid critics who seem to dislike it. For instance, if you were to take away the 8-bit throwbacks, would the movie still actually be good? It just appears from my viewpoint that you have to 'get it' to enjoy the movie.
I'm probably going to see it just because my sister wants to, and because I enjoyed the game, but I don't have a damn clue if I'll end up liking it or not.
RT has the movie at 80%, so wouldn't the overwhelming majority of critics be saying that it's good?
I was more looking at MetaCritic, as well as some of the stuff I've read via their links: http://www.metacritic.com/movie/scot...m-vs-the-world
I love the references to old games, but I'd still love the movie without them. For me what makes the movie fun is the dialogue and the general over-the-top nature of the fights. There is absolutely no reason Michael Cera and Jason Schwartzman should be able to have a masterful swordfight, and the movie doesn't even try to explain it, because the reason is understood. "It's awesome."
The problem is, that even if the movie is the best movie ever to have been created, the trailers don't really draw in any other demographics aside from the comic readers and nostalgic video gamers. It's an abstract concept and most people don't get it, is what I guess I'm trying to say.
I guess for some, there's a difference between suspension of disbelief and just turning your brain off. In the case of the former, some random nerd turning into a swordmaster can be one of those "WTF?!" moments where at least some of it could be offset by a training montage.
Over-the-top rarely does it for me, so I'm kinda skeptical if I should go see it despite my geeky leanings. For example, some swear up and down over things like TTGL and or FLCL around here, but I guess I just don't "get it" in the end after looking past the fanservice and minimalistic plots.
The best movie ever? lol
Didn't really like the new endingSpoiler: show
What i don't undestand is why you continue to talk to me as if i were speaking to you from the start.
This post, and the next one i made after that, weren't talking to you, so stop talking to me. You're boring me. :<RT has the movie at 80%, so wouldn't the overwhelming majority of critics be saying that it's good?
