In regards to Michael Cera disdain,
    Spoiler: show
In the final battle, when Gideon comes up behind Scott & impales him with his sword, a guy in the back of the theater erupted in joyous laughter. While laughing he says, They killed Michael Cera!

Great movie, anyone that disagrees is wrong and should feel bad.

I learned this at Vegan University.

Walked in without any knowledge of the comics and knowing just a little of the plot and walked out with a smile across my face. Each ex felt unique enough to keep being entertaining. Very fun movie, I just bought the game off PSN and ordered the 6 comic book set off Amazon because of it.

Randomly decided to go see this and all i can say is itwas an amazing ride. My only gripe is that kim was helps hard to look at, but maybe that has something to do with the comic.

Love kim, favorite character easily in the comic but she was downplayed very very very very very hard in the movie (a large part of the missing third of the movie is all very kim-centric). Wallace pretty much got a ton of extra time out of it, which is fine because wallace happens to be my second favorite character.

Kim's whole demeanor and look is a matter of the comic (though obviously drawn cuter despite her attitude), Alison pill is kind of iffy in the looks department in general (woman has a huge forehead, her bangs as kim covered this up very well) but

    I'd beat.

Saw it last night, it was actually amazing considering what other movies based on video games have been like. If hollywood can keep making video game/comic book movies as well as they did this one then the future looks good ! lol

I went to NYC to see it. My little cousin kept saying we should see Expendables. After the experience I'm glad I saw SPvW in theatres.

I saw Expendables (or as the spanish bootleggers call it Los Mercenarios) and not to take anything away from it but the visual experience is nowhere near Scottie. The monotone scenery e.g. jungle, city in third world country, can't compete, but the bad-assery, fight scenes, and humor are all pretty much on equal levels. Theres just the America-Fuck-YEAH factor.

Also I don't mean to disrespect fans of the comic but I think thats why I enjoyed it more the fact I didn't read the comics. I was tempted to look it up when I heard a hint of it in Kick-Ass but didn't.

Saw it this past weekend, fucking LOVED it!!!
I loved the atmosphere they created for each fight, the amped music and shots, combined with the text flying up for effects. Just totally awesome. The music was kinda meh, I do like alot of punk or alternative but I could've picked better songs for the scenes IMHO.

Don't get me wrong, I liked alot of the music I just thought it could have been better in that aspect. Maybe I should re-watch it soon to get a better feel for the tunez. Again, I did really like most of the music I was just trying to think of the one thing I didn't like 100% about the movie, it really was a killer flick :D.

    A- Movie.

Really enjoied it, laughed the whole time pretty much, but it just seemed to drop off when
    Spoiler: show
Flowers dumped Scott, it just seemed to really slow down, and feel wierd for some reason I cant quite put my finger on. Also the ending was sort of off.

Aside from that though, it was really great. Great music (I typically hate this kind of music, but fit great here (though maybe metal would more..)), great gaming nostalgia and references, and a fun and funny story. I really wish it went on for many more hours.

I was real worried about Cera being in this movie, enough to not see it, but he did a real good job I think.

Also really happy that my boy Paul Robertson and the rest of the MechaFetus crew are finally getting some real recognition. Most of their work was done in the video game, but some aspects were in the movie too.

The music was supposed to be relatively crappy, it was a part of the movie. Scott was literally holding the band back in a lot of aspects but all in all they weren't that good anyway (envy, the one with the record deal was a member of their band [kid chamelon] in college). The music really perfectly depicts that. Funny thing is beck's personal versions of threshold and garbage truck are worse imo.

This was actually the point in the movie where I yelled out in the theater
"O shit son, he bout to beat some cheeks!!"
And the crowd erupted into laughter
