Given the basic plot of Juno, this seems unlikely.

The music was supposed to be relatively crappy, it was a part of the movie. Scott was literally holding the band back in a lot of aspects but all in all they weren't that good anyway (envy, the one with the record deal was a member of their band [kid chamelon] in college). The music really perfectly depicts that. Funny thing is beck's personal versions of threshold and garbage truck are worse imo.

This is honestly the feel I was getting lol, like it was bad, but a purposeful bad. The tracks Beck did I really did like though. I think I'm gonna just have to watch it again to get a better feel for the muzak :D.

Finally, when I went to see SPvtW, I got a trailer for Easy A. Doesn't look half bad.

Just got back from a packed theatre (tuesdays are free for optimum customers or something), I thought Cera played Scott perfectly. Fight scenes were a welcome surprise too, the trailers really make them look x10000 as awkward. Only thing I didn't like as much were the purposely cheesy lines; I thought they could poke more fun at them as they did in the comics (or like Stacy's reaction to the first battle).

Negascott was hilarious though, I cringed when he first came on and thought "Man they really rushed this" so I guess I fell for it.

Also found it funny that the twins didn't have any lines, lol

Went and watched it again tonight and found it better the second time around. I got to pay attention to some of the more subtle nuiances like the "sadcore" genre label in the music store. Speaking of music i'm starting to feel I'm the only one who really likes the Sex Bob-omb songs and not in a "they were supposed to be bad" way. It reminds me of a lot of the early/mid80s punk with distortion on everything. Unless of course I'm misinterpreting what people are saying about the songs then ignore me.

Sounds like a missed opportunity for some purposely bad voice-over dub for comedic effect, given the 'nerdy' trend of the movie.


On another note, a local cinema is finally showing the film, I'm going to try and see it this week.
(unfortunately it's the worst of the three cinemas in my area, but oh well, beggers can't be choosers, unless I want to drive an hour to the closest city)

Saw this on Sunday, thought it was awesome. While it wasn't a completely faithful adaptation of the books, I still found it immensely enjoyable.
