Loved this movie. Instant cult classic in my book.
Loved this movie. Instant cult classic in my book.
Would have loved it to be a little longer with a little more explanation. But i have to say it is an incredibly unique and entertaining film, going to see again monday.
im trying to read the comic but the comic reading program you guys linked earlier aint working at all for me, is there any other way to ready all 6 comics? movie was great by the way, not many people at the showing but alot of them were cracking up out loud.
I just saw it and enjoyed it. I wasn't blown away or anything but it was definitely entertaining.
Some minor complaints:
Cera...he didn't do a bad job; He's just not Scott to me. Also, the girl they got to play Ramona was too tall and they did a shitty job on her hair. The points where they strayed from the books weren't necessarily bad but where definitely weaker than the books (the ending is the best example of this for me)
Saw it yesterday. Ya, cera didn't really make it better, and the Ramona girl was larger than him which looked odd.
Overall the movie was pretty good, but casting (basically just ramona and scott sould have been better) and music choices could have been better and made it a bit better.
Secondary note;
Cera is looking pretty awful these days. Is there a chin reduction surgery? I'm pretty sure he has a chin in arrested development buy has since disappeared. Also, his beak nose, skinny long neck and mop top hair are not good accessories to a chinless face. Every time I see him profile the word "bird" comes to mind.
Finally got around to seeing this, was great!
Looked through this threadbut didn't see any besides a broken link, any word on OSTs for this movie?
Should probably check/ask in the Music Leaks Thread. It was posted somewhere, but maybe it just needs to be re-uploaded.
just looking at torrent sites, there are more seed/leech for the one game soundtrack torrnt than all the OST combined, says something about how the movie could have used a step up in that department.
The likelihood that people who already own a ps3/xbox will buy a cheap good quality beat em up and subsequently listen to the chiptune music that accompanies it is a lot higher than the number of people that like beck/metric that would go see scott pilgrim and as a result pick up the OST.
pretty much
Saw it a couple days ago. Decent, decent movie. The fight scenes were choreographed very nicely and the music was soo terrible it was awesome. 8/10
Managed to go see it, loved it too. I hated how some (groups of) people just walked out though, £10 for a movie ticket here is not cheap... especially considering it's another £10 for food/refreshments (that's nearly $30)
I need names for the following songs, if I'm unable to locate them on the OST/Score (what's the difference?):
1. Patel's fight song
2. Roxy vs Ramona song
And the zelda theme used when Scott's wondering around in the dream world, was that ever in any of the games or was it taken and remixed for the film? That was a really nice version of the theme but I don't recall it hearing it in any previous zelda games![]()
sounded like the title screen song from link to the past in midi?
Hm, nope, it had kinda a voice to hit, like a woman "aahhing" the tune in a heavenly/dreamly type of voice. I knew of the tune's origins, but it sounded more enhanced, that's all.
EDIT: Some more hunting lead me to:

brb while I dig up the Snes OST haha!Wright: I haven’t told you this yet, but Shigeru Miyamoto—the Mario creator from Nintendo—has seen part of the film. We had to get his permission to use this piece of music from The Legend of Zelda for that dream sequence. So when I was writing to Nintendo to get permission, I was saying, “This music is like nursery rhymes to a generation.” I remember seeing you get all misty-eyed any time Super Mario Bros. 3 was mentioned.
It's the great fountain theme, it also plays when you pick a save or what not. Isn't that theme in like every Zelda game somewhere?
Yeh that theme is in more or less every Zelda, I listened to it and it sounded a tiny bit different. I can only assume I've never listened to a piece of SNES (or equivalent) track in a surround sound cinema system before... making it a bit more epic then it should lol!
Not sure if you found the one you were looking for, but could it have been from one of the newer Zelda's? Like, from Wind Waker:

It's been awhile now, so I don't really remember what the one at the beginning of the movie sounded like, but the beginning of this version reminds me of Scott Pilgrim.
