    Can't wait to see the movie/video game. After finishing the 5th book this past week, I can't imagine how much of the story they're going to actually be able to fit into the movie.

    also book 5 question for those who have read it

    what the fuck is going on............ it got all sci-fi there at the end or something. I kinda got the feeling that Scott might end up with Kim, but my bf says that would be a retarded ending since the whole point of the book series is him fighting to be with Ramona.

    The sci-fi part was the Katayanagi's doing their "we use mecha" showy fighting style.

    Yes, he's still fighting the 7 evil ex bf's so be with Ramona; but he can't leave his best friend down... and the fact that she was one of his ex-gf's (I think it's covered in book 2) is something that cant be discounted.

    Also, the Katayanagi twins did capture her in the typical villianesque "i'll get your friends/family to get to you" plot.

    Well I meant it seemed like it was taking a sci-fi route with the way Ramona just completely disappeared at the end, along with all the "cyber space" stuff that's already been happening throughout the series. Also the way the ex bfs have been saying Ramona was running away kinda makes me think that he ultimately can't end up with her. She's prob an alien or some weird shit.

    She wasnt actually there when scott ran back to her house. She didn't leave kim a text at all. He was running back to ramona thinking everything had worked out but she was long gone. It wasnt really sci-fi'ish, it was just scott's expectations not meeting the reality of the situation.

    The "cyber-space" is actually part of Ramona's ability. She can get to any place in the world by travelling through subspace. It's why she's the best delivery person for Amazon.ca. It's been in the series since book 1 but rarely used, it reappeared more recently, think it's explained during the fight with Blonde Ninja Girl Roxie Richter and with Knives Chau's dad going all zealous-samurai-dad and chasing Scott around town. XD

    As for Ramona dissapearing at the end of book 5, Top Tier has it right... she leaves their place when Scott goes to save Kim. During the fight, Scott was losing steam and was quite demoralized by what Ken and Kyle Katayanagi were saying about Ramona and their relationships with her. So, Kim lied about getting a text from Ramona saying she'll be waiting for him (Scott) and not lose faith in Ramona, that way Scott got a second wind and defeated the Katayanagi twins.

    She's not an alien... she's just as bad at staying in a stable relationship as Scott. She bounced from one guy to another, because "the next one seemed better". Up until Scott... although there is still something to be said about #7 (Gideon), as she never really broke up with him properly; I believe she wrote a Dear John letter for him, but it was never delivered.
