I feel like I've made a lot of topics lately that have been answered in various other threads that I don't feel like looking through.

So here ya have it. RANDOM QUESTION THREAD!


First: Army of One. I hear it's godly for staggering. People are practically jizzing in their pants about instant stagger. I have Ultima Weapon with the Quick Stagger thing and Army of One but it still seems to take forever (if not slower than just spamming 5 spells in a row) unless the mob is close to Stagger anyway. What's the deal?

I have Axis Blade lvl2 + Whistlewind Scarf and if I use Army of One my gauge refills to 50% because of all the hits, but it does take forever. I think it's really just that once you stagger, two Army of Ones will take the mob to 999%.

Two questions:

I already have sprint boots but have two more Tiaras. Desynth and sell, or sell for 40k?

Second, how do I make spoiler things on the forum >_> For the life of me can't find it.

Quick stagger alone is ok, but what you also want is accessories equiped that enable "Random: Instant Chain" (speed sash, energy sash, etc). With the # of hits in AoO you have much more chances to proc that and when instant chain procs, quick stagger takes it over the top immediately to stagger. Also, its slowness is illusory due to the bullet time thing it does in animation. Also quick stagger really shows better on mobs with insanely high stagger points (i.e. Attacus)

Thats the other best use of AoO. With Enkindler and hasted you can pretty much spam it back to back. Again though, the slowness is illusory due to bullet time and pauses in animation transitions.

Also upgrade that whistlewind scarf asap. It only goes to level 2 and turns into aurora scarf which is much much better.

Get at last 2 sprint boots. helps to blast through trash encounters when running around.

I'll upgrade the scarf now, thanks. I have three sprint boots, and still have two extra tiaras, though. Lol. Got them digging AFTER I farmed the first 3.

Yes he is a bitch and you need a Sen, but you can stagger him with Ultima's quick stagger ability, although 'random: instant chain' is worthless. Get the chain to 900+ and it can fire, get it to 999 and it will definitely fire and stagger him immediately. I killed him on my 3rd attempt after swapping to Light/Snow/Hope with a 4 star rating and he did indeed go staggered. (4.5 roles filled for each char.)

Attacus was a bitch till I got my paradigms right, 5 stared him at right around 5 mins I think. There's a good video on Youtube of the strat.

I've been upgrading and shooting for hitting as close to the level as possible. Question: Can I, for example, build a 3x multiplier and put like 100k EXP worth of items on it and see no penalties as I cross levels? I'd just lose EXP if it capped?

EXP doesn't carry over to the next tier, no. So yeah you's lose that exp. As far as I've noticed anyway.

Can someone tell me what accessories I should bother keeping?

For example this Entite ring is worth 60k and it's elemental resists+10% I dont know what I'd use it for, really, I never use SENs and even when I know I will have to I dont see how 10% on all elements is gonna save my ass, unless this upgrades into something amazing or something I dont see the point.

If you're going for an eventual Treasure Hunter trophy, you might want to hang on to the following accessories for upgrading into their superior forms as you cannot purchase them later on. Some you can get from Dismantling, some from repeating certain Missions, but I wouldn't rely on it.

Ember Ring
Frost Ring
Spark Ring
Aqua Ring
Zephyr Ring
Clay Ring (all the rings are non-reobtainable outside if dismantling the correct charm)

Gold Watch

My party consisted of Fang/Light/Snow. Fang and Light have maxed omega weapons, but snow only had his level 1 weapon. Played the fight as Fang.

Pop the 2 good shrouds before and then start with the Sab/Rav/Rav combo. Get Slow/Deprot/Deshell on before switching to Rav x3. Your goal is to quickly get his chain gauge to +300%. Then switch to Com/Com/Sent and just wail away. Switch to Sab/Com/Sen when you need to reapply Slow/Deprot/Deshell and when your buffs wear switch to Syn/Com/Sen to apply Bravera and Haste to Fang and Light only. I didn't have to heal once with snow taking all the damage.

Where do you get the Charms? Does that mean that you can re-obtain everything if you can desynth charms into the few rings that you could have accidentally sold?

Ok so I've beaten the main part of the story, and missions 1-16, and the ones you do along chapter 11 and such. I've been hearing about an item that grants a 2x CP bonus, but I have no idea what said Item is called and where it is found.

EXP doesn't carry over to the next tier, no. So yeah you's lose that exp. As far as I've noticed anyway.

EXP does carry over. Just last night I upgraded a capped Taming Pole, and it jumped directly to lv17 Venus Gospel. In theory you can plow ~2m EXP into a weapon at stage 1 and upgrade to tier 3 right away.
