I've got a system worked out now that seems to be doing OK, and I need to try out lightning as main so I can enfire.

Good stuff. I got lucky and knocked out the Dark Matters I needed in like 10 kills. Oh, and Lightning should be throwing up Enfire on her own, it's pretty far back in the list, though.

I had nice luck with getting traps at same rate as money, now I'm sitting on 3m+ gil and have gotten 1 dark matter in like 15 kills lol ><

Some question about crystalium

1) Can you max out everyone on every job?

exemple can i Max Lightning Commando, Ravager and Medic on every Crystanium LV?

2) Does passive skill pass threw jobs

Exemple if i unlock HP +20 on Snow Commando, if i switch him to Medic will he keep his HP +20? or it wont work?

Yes and Yes. But keep in mind, not every person gets every ability. You can get Lv 5 for all roles on each person (there is a trophy for it) but some people will have different abilities for each role; with some overlap of course.

Yeah it is a lot of money to piss way on purchasing the weapons and then upgrading them 1 tier. I hated that part; so many platinum ingots, ugh.

i'm mostly done, but the remaining adamantites, other random catalysts, and base weapons are gonna run something like ~4M. and that's before factoring in the exp materials... at a rate of 2 plat/hr, man, i don't know if i'm even gonna bother. 91% is pretty close to platinum, starting to think that's good enough for me!

2 plat/hr? How fast are you killing and where?

I was killing in Eden (running to the stairs to spawn or simply quit/reload) and I was killing in 1:50-2:10 with both catalogs on. I would get 4-6/hr on average. Sometimes getting a run of 3 or so in a row.

same as you, i just sit in eden for hours with the catalogs on. i get my kills in 1:30ish, reload if no drop, rinse repeat ad nauseam. on extremely rare occasions i'll get 3 or 4 in an hour, but 2 is the normal rate for me.

Seriously, what the hell am I doing wrong here? I've researched the web as well as this forum and the mission 55 forum and I still cannot access mission #55. The damn stone remains dormant. The general consensus states that in order to be able to access it you have to have completed mission #14 and progressed past chapter 11. Well... I've beat every mission except #51, 54, and 62. I've completed the game and have returned back to Gran Pulse and leveled up quite a bit into the crystarium (which is at stage 10). I even went so far as to go back and complete mission #14 a second time to 5 star it just in case the three stars I had were the cause of the hold up. That wasn't the case... all the aforementioned is complete, but the flippin' stone remains dormant. Anyone have any ideas?

Strat guide only lists conditions as "defeat Barthandalus in Oerba and complete Mission 14" so

When I was finishing up my plat, I got tired of turtles and went and farmed perfumes/chips/scarlitles, its just as good as farming plats, I was making 60-80k a trip.

I did until I had to spend a tonne of money buying Adamantite, weapons, and other catalysts for upgrading to get the TH trophy. Maybe I will go back and max them all out but for now the thought of more farming makes me want to punch a baby.

Honestly I would say don't bother. If you kill everything along the way you should be leveled up plenty for each boss. They have done a great job balancing the difficulty for each stage of the crystarium.

If you are dead set on grinding though, you usually have to travel a set distance away to trigger the repops.
