oh I didn't even notice there's a mark 64 thread. perfect, thanks.
Growth Egg fight: assuming you are not using the Death method, how hard will this fight be and more specifically, how strong will your characters have to be? I'd rather not use the Death method if I don't have to (just find it distasteful) but if it means I have to be near the point the Egg wouldn't even help me, then might as well get it done now.
there's also a thread that talks specifically about this fight which may be more helpful.

Cheers~ it doesn't mention it in that thread; what is the ballpark in terms of damage for his Screech attack I hear people have trouble with?
What's the use of getting stars in battle?
Does anyone know how bravery/faith work? Is there anypoint (in short battles) where STR/MAG will out perform bravery/faith?
bravery adds 25% to STR. bravera adds 75%, but has a shorter duration. (doesn't stack)
faith adds 25% to MAG. faithra adds 75%, but has a shorter duration. (doesn't stack)
all 4 spells are single target.
your second question is a bit unclear. generally, if you can beat a mob within 3-4 rounds when engaging with all your chars as either com or ravs, its not worth the time to buff.
however, if you see battles that last longer than 3-4 rounds, more likely than not, it'd be more efficient to start off the fight with 2-3 syns, cast haste on everyone then bravery/bravera on your str based hero, and faith/faithra on your mage heros.
he's asking about auto-bravery rings
yes, they're better if you're not buffing, i.e. never that matters
Anyone have any suggestions when it comes to accesories? just pump on as much STR MAB and HP as possible?
When your playing through the story, sure, sprint shoes are a huge help too. But when you start doing turtles and latter missions your going to want magic/physical defense accessories handy.
So basically... Dare I say it... Shits situational?
I never used the defensive accessories, except for the 60ish mission with the 2 Ceiths that cast Multicast. I currently kill Shenlongs(probably hardest mobs in the game) with 3x Kaiser knuckes(str+) and Genji gloves on 2 characters.
STR makes a huge difference in this game, but yes, there's been plenty of fights before that I would switch out certain gear for others.
Shit's situational (up to a point)
my "running around/easy missions" (I'm still working on five-starring them all) setup is:
Brave/Faith accessory
Aurora Scarf
Sprint Shoes
Genji Glove/Catalogs
but I'd never use that on a difficult mission. you're basically wasting three slots. so yeah, auto-status accessories are useful but only in certain cases. come to think of it, I should use a Power Glove (no Dark Matter yet) instead of the Genji Glove, Fang's not hitting the damage cap on mobs that aren't worth staggering.
So for the past few days I've been working towards the treasure hunter trophy and today I realized I might not have gotton the Aqua ring and I sold my water charm(s).....am I fucked lol?
alright good deal. thanks a lot.
So, I still don't "see the light" with Army of One.
What gear and stuff are people using with it? I even used it on something that's weakness was raw melee, still shit damage and no bigger chain boost than a normal ravager round.
I'm not sure, but I think it's mainly used for :Instant Chain.
Since it's 13 attacks instead of 6, it increases the odds of it proc'ing
But I could be completely wrong.
