Also didnt the robot quest give you adamantite? Could have swore it gave me some.

I just did Lightning's initial weapon. Nice balanced stats for a hybrid attacker, not relying on Instant Chain or ATB speed which will be lost when upgrading to Ultimate anyway.
Let's be honest - by the time you get your 2nd Trap to upgrade Light's weapon (I'm assuming you did Fang's first), what boss is there that you haven't already destroyed?
Insta-stagger proc rate is pretty good in my opinion, and helps make battles a ton easier when it does, i.e. Gigantaur.
Yeah, might have to build one of those up purely for that damn Cactuar <_<
It's not like you can't get instant stagger without it.
Really you should look at it in terms of what they give at max, which is only the stats/bonuses that are directly on the weapons.
Personally I like axis because her atb return is crazy anyway, toss it on her and she's getting near 50% returns as rav. Fastest chain builder by far, lionheart might make the stagger happen a tiny bit sooner (and that's a maybe, given the speed axis builds chain at), but what really matters is the actual numbers the stagger gauge is at anyway, and lionheart doesn't affect that once it's fully upgraded.
If you really want to have all options just take a lionheart to stage 2* and an axis fully upgraded.
I'll agree with Plow on that.
Time for a final FFXIII question from Bart - is there any way to take down these Long Gui's in less than 18 minutes? Granted, I forgot to reequip my Genji Gloves for my first bout with these dudes, but they have hella HP so not sure how much they will help the next time around. Any help appreciated.
Two more trophies to go: Sphere grid complete, and treasure hunter
This pretty much. By the time I upgraded my weapons, I really didn't have any bosses that I needed help with on the weapons. Lionheart's ultimate weapon's ability (combined with the overall decent stats) is just a general convenience overall that none of the other weapons provide. I'd still choose it over anything else. Though since I easily had more than 6 traps I upgraded axis blade anyways.
So the axis blade keeps its speed bonus when its fully upgraded to Ultimate Weapon? I did not know that...hmmmm. I also thought that Lionheart kept the stagger bonus when it was fully upgraded.
What's the "best" party of 3 to focus on for Ultimate weapons? I'm farming the Adamantoise in Eden in Chapter 12 and am working on maxing out level 2 weapons until I get traps to drop..
Fang is a given. She's like the TG Cid of FF13.. I currently have a Level 2 Taming Pole at * and will turn this into my first ultimate once a trap drops.
Lightning has Level 2 Lionheart at *, but I'm probably going to turn Axis Blade into her Ultimate. However, I don't have access to the item used to turn it into Level 2 atm.
I can't decide on who I want to use for my third. I was using Snow for a while, but haven't had much use for a SEN. I've been using Sazh a lot as my third now and was thinking of upgrading his weapon that extends buff time. Thoughts?
I did fang/vanille/Lightning
Mostly cause Vanille has Death and Poison and Curaja,
And I like Lightning because she can be pretty balanced which can be good when you do RAVx3 COMx3 setups. and the very important thing is that she has Enspells.
I ran with Hope when killing Adamantoises, in addition to Fang (leader) and Light, but now roll with Vanille (leader) instead of him, cause casting Death >>> switching to Commando during stagger rocks
Thanks for the suggestions.
Is poison useful? I don't think I've ever made it a point to use it. Usually when I have a SAB against a tought enemy, I just try to get Slow, Deprotect, Deshell then Imperil and Curse if the others land quickly.Mostly cause Vanille has Death and Poison and Curaja
Is death reliable in that respect? I've used it a few times when Vanille got it, but it seems to have a really low stick rate even with a level 2 Belladonna Wand at *.I ran with Hope when killing Adamantoises, in addition to Fang (leader) and Light, but now roll with Vanille (leader) instead of him, cause casting Death >>> switching to Commando during stagger rocks
It seems to me that Sazh and Snow are very rarely used. Almost every "end-game" party I've seen has Fang/Light/Van or Fang/Light/Hope.
Belladonna/Malboro Wand do not enhance the landing rate of Death. It starts at 1% and increases by 1% for every debuff present on the mob.
Poison is very useful if you can stick it (it takes away a certain % of HP per unit time, not just a fixed amount - so against mobs like Mission 64, this can amount to a large amount of damage per second).
Death is more useful for switching to COM/COM/COM while casting it and getting a giant damage bonus. like, 999,999 damage supposedly, though I haven't tried it myself.
If stagger gauge is close to 999, Death hits for a million a pop, as long as you switch during casting to COM COM COM. I still haven't gotten to the point where I can kill it in a single stagger but I imagine upgrading Vanille's and Light's weapons to the final stage will do the trick.
that's insane. and awesome.
but then, I think about Fang, and I realize she's doing 210-230k a hit, with six hits, so she's still doing more damage than Vanille. and I don't even have Kaiser Knuckles yet.
How the fuck do I get the outfit for my XBL avatar with the code you get in the game? I only just now registered it and I think they pulled the outfits off of the marketplace but not sure.
