You need to complete Mission 12 to gain access to their "home", the Font of Namva, and Mission 14 to be able to ride them.

it's worth it. chocobos are badass in this game. as far as a mode of transportation can be badass, anyway.
I finally beat Orphan and started endgame. Is there a better place to farm Adamantoises than the single one in Leviathan Plaza? Also, should I hold off on turning the Adamantoises in Long Guis until I'm done farming them?
If you can beat them without doing the Summoning method, Gran Pulse is definitely better, there are four of them down there, you can do the babies in between for TP as well if you do summon.
I'd hold off on Long Gui's until either A) you get one trap to upgrade Fang or B) have most of your characters fully done on Crystarium. Actually, you might want to be more aggressive because the Long Gui Trap drop rate is way better than Adamantoises
Long Gui are fucking hard until you're really well off, and even then they're very specific in what you have to be able to do to kill them, especially consistently/easily.
Where are the Long Guis etc? I've completed every single mission and cannot find a single one <_< 0/126 on Trap now too :D
EDIT: Nevermind, they respawned in place of the normals. Is it just me or are Shaolong Gui a hell of a lot harder than Long Gui? Long Gui was an absolute joke but Shaolong is harsh. No drop on the Long Gui, of course ...
I had a really good drop rate on the Long Gui with the Collectors Catalog +1
I sincerely hope that is the case since I am 0/134 as I went to bed nowspent 12 hours today farming the things nonstop (except from doing Mission 62/64) and got like 6 ingots/0 traps to show for it. RAGE
buff, heal up, debuff mob, get near stagger, daze it, heal/buff, make sure everyone gets enfire, take it to 999 and burn it down in 2 rounds with tri com
try to get triple sen up for all quakes and bays, unlucky bays can just fuck you but that's pretty much just how both kinds of gui are.
To be honest, the Shaolong did wipe me more than the longgui's, because they were a bit more unpredictable. But like Plow said, enfire + 999% + triple Com should destroy them, the only problem comes when he Bays or Quake+Ultimate during the stagger. Then you'll need to regroup and take him down next stagger.
I don't have the power to take them down in one stagger yetI do it in two. Still, not that bad as long as you keep him Slow'd. Long Gui is an absolute joke because when the main head is Slow'd it attacks at such a stupidly low speed <_<
Which is the best/easiest Genji Glove to get?
Do you have any problems with using the Death method?
If not, Mission 63: Crushed by Doubt. Started in Sulyya Springs, prerequisite is reaching the Faultwarrens at least once. Your opponent is an Adamantortoise~
The other two are from Attacus (Mission 51) and 2x Raktavija (Mission 62).
For the Treasure Hunter, besides weapons and accessories, do you need to have had one of every item, component, and key item as well? Those things seem like a given, but I don't know that I've bought or owned one of every component, and I don't know if some key items are optional, etc etc
Edit: derp derp http://www.xbox360achievements.org/g.../achievements/ says only weapons and accessories, hope it's not wrong
It's not
Quick question: Do you have to do earlier Cie'th stone missions to access later ones? I only did the first 7, and from there skipped a couple due to difficulty. Have now been two hours trekking through this cave and noticed a bunch of inactive stones. Do I have to backtrack all the fuck way back to knock up earlier ones I ignored to access those or something, or are there ones further down the road I can access?
Some of them are sequential, yah - but not all. A lot of missions are unlocked by completing Mission 12 (outside the Font of Namva - basically in line with the zoneline to Vallis Media - and you will have this mission unlocked now).
The other main condition for accessing them is to visit a place for the first time (outside of the storyline, The Faultwarrens are the other place which activates a couple, though by the time you get access to here you'll have done 50%~ of the marks).
Some require earlier missions, some require story progression and some have no pre reqs at all. This website lists the unlock condition for all the missions.

Yeah, much easierit's just an easy Ci'eth Stone to miss.
