May I suggest you don't do all of the missions in some kinda circle in the steppe right away?
Wait til' you can kill a shaolong gui or then you're getting rid of a good amount of farmable tortoises.
P.S.: Shut it, I ain't going back to Eden.

Well I just beat the game and when I load the new save file I'm still in Orphan's Cradle. Am I supposed to walk back out or is there another way to get out? Or am I just totally missing something.
Edit: Never mind, I turned around the saw the portal. I'm a retard.
So just to show my results, with only collectors catalog on my drop rate is crazy, im about 37/75~ on ingots and i haven't got any more than 6 traps now.
Does upgrading the Growth Egg add anything more? Or am I just wasting components.
Is it the same for Collector's Catalog too? Does having multiple ones on a char or one on each increases its effect?
Also how do you respawn Adamantoise? I can't seem to do it.
Multiples of the same catalog doesn't stack, but you can use Collector's + Rare Item catalog and gain effect of both, but I think it's better to only use collector's or rare item one when turtle farming I believe? You're gonna only wanna use collector's catalog for turtle farming anyway.
The Turtle in Eden? Either walk back through the door where you see some soldiers + Behemoths right before Adamantoise, or run down the steps to 2nd Juggernaut then run back up to respawn it.
The Adamantoise in Pulse.
The quickest way to respawn those is Save and Load, otherwise you'd have to run very far away from where they spawn or change areas.
In Eden, the fastest way to respawn the Turtle is to just run up to the door, but you dont have to go through it. I made that mistake. I went back to Pulse b/c the cutscene going back and forth in the door was too long. you just have to walk close enough to it so the word "Door" pops up. then turn around. you wont have to deal with the Humbabas and Soliders once you kill them all. but the Turtle will respawn. def. the quickest way to farm ingots
I'll let my friend know about this since he's farming Ingots/Traps atm. Out of all the turtles I killed(over 100 or so), only about 25-30 of them didn't drop Ingots, so gil wasn't much of a problem for me. Never really had to farm Eden Turtle, but I killed it anyway when farming Scarletite.
Whats a good level to reliably kill the turtles without the summon/death trick?
i found this guide on gamefaq http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps3/928790-f...iii/faqs/59989 when i first beat the game and still didnt farm at all. i used the sazh method and it worked fantastic because i found a way to farm 3 tp really fast, theres a hill to the west of the 2 turtles on the north side (not roaming) on pulse, theres 3 packs of 4-5 wolfs that will give you 3 tp after you kill all of them and you can do that in less then 5 min with STR gear, just COM/COM/COM the wolfs to make it quick. then just get into the flow of farming the wolfs and killing turtles and you will get alot of xp and get used to killing them. once you get atleast some of your jobs capped you can use the other methods in that guide.
If you do the same mission over and over again do I still get the same reward or does it change?
Changes. Ex: If you do one of the Genji Glove missions you get Genji Glove the first time you complete it, but reward for repeating it will just be components pretty much. So you can't obtain another Genji Glove from the same mission.
Should I just buy the Trapezohedron or just buy one first?
Don't buy the Traps, lol. You'll want the Plat Ingots over the Traps. Weapons cost alot to upgrade, 1.5M-2M. Buying Traps would be a waste, just put Rare Catalog and just keep killing Turtles. You'll eventually get a few Traps farming Plat Ingots for gil needed to upgrade Accs/Final Tier weapons.
I thought Rare Catalog doesn't affect it since its a 1% drop rate.
Also, how do you spawm Long Guis and Shaolong Guis? I don't want to get them by accident.
:/ getting bored of this game, I got to I think Capt. 11 or 12 or something, were the opening cutscene was like.. everyone on their summons, interrupting a race, then they start attacking people for ??? reasons.
How much longer of the game do I have before I can go back to the fun open field? :s
