you just have to have owned every item at some point once, once you upgrade say... an adamant bangle into a wurtzite bangle you can NPC it immediately or whatever.

Also you don't have to max things out, just transform the item/weapon into the next form and it counts.

One thing I have seen posted many places which I recently proved wrong:

People kept saying that if you had a summon out and killed the mob item bonuses on your other characters would not be applied.

However, I killed an Adamantoise with Vanille's death while the summon was still out and had the growth egg on Hope, I still received the doubled 80000 CP.

Iron shells to raise xp lvl, and turbojets for boosting fast xp.

Perfect Conductors for tier1 weapons and stuff that takes less than 30k of exp to upgrade, otherwise it's probably easier to just use Particle Accelerators when you get access to the R&D Depot. Exp per item depends on the item being upgraded, so you should probably check to see if it's not more economical to use one of the 840 gil items instead.

Eventually you get access to Ultracompact Reactors for the big stuff, which although they cost 50k, with a 3x mutliplier often turn out to be cheaper to overrun the exp limits of an item by a lot because you get more than 5x the exp of a Particle Accelerator for 5x the price.

While all of this is spot on, where he is at, if he is looking to upgrade, Iron shells to boost xp lvls and turbojets for xp gain are the best you can buy in chapter 9.

good infos thx! kyo u be glad to know im not just doing this 13 for the "cheevos"

however before i looked into anything at all my bro just said upgrade the first weaps and it's all good. he's a first timer on ANY ff game so i should have known not to take that advice and upgrade gladius to level 8.

so that being said what should i use as primary weaps? i read a couple threads and heard gae bolg was a good choice for fang but what about the others?

Her starter spear is fine until you get taming pole or Dragoon's lance, also Gladius is good until you get Axis Blade or Lionsheart.

You can do this before genji gloves.

After you acquire Bahamut, have Fang as the party leader. At the start of the battle, summon Bahamut. Once he is in the battle with you, drive your Gestalt Gauge to the max, enter Gestalt mode, and initiate a Level 3 Megaflare. You should have no problem eclipsing the 100,000 mark.

I'm at chapter 9 and been saving since the start to upgrade the weapons at Chapter 11 since that's what most people recommended. I got a bunch of items in the inventory, I know for sure that Sturdy Bones, Barbed Tails or Vibrant Ooze are to keep for upgrade but the rest I really don't have any clue about them.

So how do I know which I should sell for $$$ and which I should keep to upgrade the weapons?

So my Crystarium is not far from being maxed, and I have enough Trap's to upgrade all my desired weapons to their final stages. Is there a better way of making money than just hoping for plat. ingots off these turtles and gold dust off the little ones? I need more particle accelerators!

@GT The "organic" components are the ones that raise your multiplyers for weapon upgrading, save those as it'll save you money on having to buy organic items from the creature comforts shop. Should save most of your mechanical components and dump in whatever is worth the most once you have a x3 multiplyer on the weapon, then rinse and repeat. Superconductors, perfect conductors, and particle accelerators are item's you'll want to buy in bulk to dump into your weapons for huge exp when they have a x3 on them. Don't forget to save before each upgrade as you'll want to make sure you don't waste money/items by over upgrading them. The components you'll want to sell are things like Perfume, credit chips, dolls, and anything that says "Can be sold for a premium" in the item description at the top. If it doesn't say that, I'd probably keep it to use for upgrading.

Here's a random question. How fucking cute are those little sheep, and also the little saplings or whatever that fight with the Ochu. I want both of these as pets IRL.

Those saplings will fuck your day up. Or at least interrupt it to all hell.

Just have a full time sentinel on these fights that will absorb all the enemy's stupid debuffs and feeding swoops or whatever they are called. I did all them with Fang as the leader and then Snow as sentinel with Hope as the third. Just manually cast haste/bravera/faithra on the two characters that aren't the sentinel with Fang and just use Ravager/Commando to kill it while the sentinel basically keeps himself topped with mediguard automatically. You don't need to bother with any buffs other than those couple since nobody else will be getting hit and anything you cast on the sentinel gets spam dispelled. I only had to have Hope switch to medic a couple times just to top off Snow.

Only need two paradigms, Syn/Sen/Med to start off or reapply buffs, and Com/Sen/Rav to kill.

I couldn't do this until after i got crystalarium (sp) rank 9 (from ch 11 boss) upgrade. Even w/the mob fully debuffed, the best I could do was like 98k

Ive been able to do it myself, I found that in my trophy guide and tested it before I posted it, but Ive had fang do a couple 200k attacks w/o gloves as well.

Highwind can get you the Limit Breaker I'm pretty sure...It does like 2-3 hits and the first one did 99,999 and the others did comparable amounts.

    Got the trophy after that
