Well, to be more clear, explain precisely why you think botting is 'wrong,' and I can explain what I meant better.

It's wrong because it block people out of content. If player A, who doesn't bot, and player B, who does bot, are competing vs each other in an HNM camp, player B has an unfair advantage. How is this not wrong? Both players pay the same required fee to play this game and yet player B has an unfair advantage. If player B gets to claim the HNM, then it blocks player A out of content that he is paying the same amount of money to have a right to play.

I'm not mad, i just think its funny how hard people cry about bots ruining this game and cheating them out of content, when a majority of those players have NEVER camped hnm in their life, and sit in WG and bitch and moan about how they deserve gear they have never even attempted to get.

sorry, it doesnt quite work that way. you can get nulled on claims, its happened before and its more than enough time to manually claim a mob.

People don't cry that they deserve gear that they never attempted to get. People cry that they deserve a chance to get that gear. You've obviously never even been a member of a non-botting shell that has to compete with botting shells or you would know how hard it is to motivate people to show up to camps when they have less than 10% chance of claiming. The bots are the reason those people don't camp HNM.

Yeah in which one of the other many botters in that linkshell will be able to step up to the plate. Listen it been debated over and over, don't act like an average player will stand a chance against all those bots for it to be considered on the same playing field. Assuming you have 1 botter and not more than 20 like some HNM shells.

except that you're wrong here. i was a member of a non-botting linkshell for quite some time, i know it sucks to lose claims. dont think i dont, and im gonna admit i disliked bots at the same time, but after awhile i just didnt give a damn because i knew kings were lol and you could get gear other ways.

Theres alot of QQing in this thread about botters as usual and as i don't have some witty line to throw at you i will respond with one of my fav. quotes on BG...

We don't want you to bot on our server because we don't bot and because we don't bot we don't want you botting on our server, so I'm going to go ahead and issue a warning from the LS that doesn't bot to all you low level newbies that these botting linkshells have killed my parents in real life and raped my sister, lit my dog on fire and RMT'd my character.

You botters will never have any skills because it's so obvious you don't have skills. Anything that requires skills only we can do, we can kill anything you can but we can't claim because you guys bots. One time we've won claim over your bots and we made a huge post on our front-page busting your balls about our Adamantoise kill because we outclaimed all your bots.

Botting is for losers and anyone that really wants to wins should play this game our way. Our way is the only way to have fun in this game and people should follow how we play this game. Your way is absolutely wrong and obviously is not fun for you, but I clearly have the funnest time in this game that I have to remind you in 5 hella long posts that I have more fun than you.

Anything you say will be null and void because you bot. So please don't even attempt to argue until you stop botting, and allow us an avenue to fight monsters we don't care about as well.

tl;dr The only thing that distinguishes a good linkshell from a bad linkshell is the possession of a pearl to that linkshell. Everyone else only remembers that one time you wiped to Tiamat 10 years ago when your 15 mages were afk but there was still 15 mages there. Losers will always milk what they can while they can because they know it doesn't last and their vented up frustration will once again be part of their daily lives.

Because i knew if i didnt, i would be looked down upon by those in the linkshell that did. Why should they risk their accounts for somebody who doesnt put in effort to help claim? You also got more points for botting, and shit adds up quick.

I have already said in that other thread, I have done HNM and various other NM's that are commonly botted (KA). You act like everyone can do Odin all the time like you can do HNM everyday. It isn't only about getting the gear, its about being able to participate in the content. It is the principle that matters. If non-botters aren't allowed to camp kings due to not having a bot and the answer is "go do Odin" what is going to be next? New updates come out and something is bottable and your answer is "go do x,y or z"? Why if we all pay the same required monthly fee?

This is my new sig. I fucking cant stand the PC players in my shell that refuse to bot its fucking stupid, yes "I'm mad" mad that i put in work so some ignorant faggot can cry about losing some claim (the few we do lose)... because we have 10 botters out of 18 people in ally at 3 AM

Why cant you do that content? A bot does nothing more than a) ensure a cast b) cast when you would like to, making staggering possible. You are perfectly capable of claiming without one, but i'm sure you'd rather bitch on a forum instead. gtfo

I laugh every time this is posted because it is such bullshit. LS's that say this always, always have people there for Faf so they can sell drops. They may not be out in full force but it isn't like you show up to free fafnirs.
