I understand why people think that botting is unfair. I simply wish to point out how fucking silly and one sided the reasoning behind that point of view truly is. HNM claiming wouldn't be any better off without botting. If anything, it's become more fair.

If Square would agree with the endgamers on this forum and state that claimbotting is acceptable, sure (And again, this is where the Windower argument falls apart, because Square has implicitly accepted the use of Windower).

Certain instances of PC overclocking seem to fuck with FFXI's speed, therefor it could be breaking the rules.

Not really considering the specs that FFXI runs on and the fact that a lot of people meet or exceed them. There is always the delay as well, even if you have top of the line PC, if you are just spamming a spell or JA like suggested here you will get blocked. You have to time it just right.

Congratulations, you've allowed some random entity to decide for you which actions are fair and which actions are unfair unlike the rest of us who prefer to study the cause and effect of said actions and decide appropriately.

You really do not understand how lag affects claiming... Even if the mob loads in time, a laggy computer will result in the mob showing up at some random time after your PC has received the packet instead of almost immediately after. This makes any sort of timing even more difficult (bot or not.) and in some cases, yes, the mob will be claimed before you can respond. I've seen it happen on my PC (albeit the graphics up too high) and my PC is pretty good.

That said, all you're really doing now is arguing against something that's considered to mostly be a fact. It's not some opinion, it's how the game works. This comes from Windower developers too, who know much more about the game than I or you ever hope to.

You haven't really raised anything because while ffxiapp wasn't a packet bot it did have linked camping to stagger times, as for Arenz.....

Ok so you decided to buy 2 packet bots (only 1 of which is worth using, and its not like you've removed every other packet bot from the market for that server, is still melons, XIP, taj's bot w/e that is and I'm sure some others), which probably cost you in the region of 3-4k USD and spent the rest of your money on upgrading a pretty redundant relic.

LS funded anything does equate to money spent. If you didn't buy the bot with ls bank then you could split it between the ls members, it is not free by any stretch of the imagination unless you joined a really shitty ls where the ls bank is on a need to know basis and you're thrown enough scraps to keep you from speaking out.

They have. Haven't fucked up HNM's like Ground kings since they fucked up HNMs when they implemented ground kings.

I'm curious why they never just made Fafnir/turtle/Behemoth have random spawns once a day, and random HQ kings once a week. or something like tiamat or cerb/khim. It wouldn't have been that hard to change it. I mean.... I'm pretty sure THEY FUCKING INCREASED THE LEVEL CAP BY 24 LEVELS. sorry sorta shouted there at the end....

Question3: Same scenario as Question2, but with THF
Question4: D.ring doesn't drop from KB so this question is mute
Question5: how much more efficent is RDM with a d. chapeau and a.body?

Basically the point i'm getting at, is how much is the avg well geared player gimping themselves by not worrying about ground king pieces?
