Except they can just do a charge back through their credit/debit card now, and there isn't anything you can do about it. An unauthorized claim charge back for this type of transaction (no tangible item or shipping involved) will almost always go through when dealing with a major bank. Trying to open an unauthorized transaction dispute through paypal is a first ditch effort that won't work unless it actually looks like the paypal account in question actually looks like it was compromised (different IP address, changed password/email, etc).

You don't get it. Unless he already had that money sitting in his paypal account, it would have went from his bank account -> paypal -> pledgie, in which case an unauthorized charge back through his bank would almost certainly work if he pursued it.

Why would I keep thousands of dollars in an account that Paypal has the right/ability to take on a whim? Don't be so foolish. That isn't his main bank account.

Apparently not, you won't be laughing when you check your next check your credit card statement, this moron tried to claim on unauthorized transaction, PayPal held the funds for 2 days under investigation and then released the hold on the funds 2 days later when they decided in my favor on the claim, I was never overdrawn, and you never got the money back which you'll find out shortly, try not to cry bitch.
