Sound problem; ;

well I decided to finally use HDMI PC to TV and use the sound on my TV for movies, but now that im back to playing FFXI and using my monitor my sound settings are all messed up. before I messed with the HDMI stuff whenever I would plug my headset in and it would automatically play sound through it. now when i plug my headset in the only thing that plays sound through it is skype. vent works but i have to keep changing the settings in sound and I can never hear my push to talk clicks even though its checked...

i have the worst luck with having computer problems lol

Don't remember correctly, can't test it right now but I think once windows learns it can use different plugs for sound, you need to put your favorite one as the default communication, so when you unplug per se your HDMI, it goes straight to Headphone mode.

using Win7, in the control panel> sound i put my speakers as default but it doesnt detect my headset when plugged in
