You find 0/15/15 to be the best? I think I started doing 0/21/9 but I've recently just been doing 0/9/21.

I use the same quints, mpen marks, armor yellow, mresist blues. Normally, I rush rod of aegis>boots of swiftness>force of nature>sunfire>something

Speaking of tanks, anyone play Shen a lot? I really enjoyed him over the free week and I'm thinking about saving IP for him, but I'm a little unsure on how to build him. Also, I tend to be starving on gold all the time since I try to leave last hits to my partner in lane and solo Shen, while viable, seems like a waste when that gold could be going to carries. Do I just have to rush HoG and try to rack up as many assists as possible?

Are all unique: 5g/10s or whatever unstackable? Or just the same item. So go HoG and Phil Stone and that should be ok right?

Yeah, they're only unique to themselves, not to other gp/5s. Phil stone is pretty meh on Shen though.

I personally have a lot of success jungle shen, its about as fast as a jungle rammus and you run on low hp quite often for the first 5 levels. Youll make a lot more money than you would duo laneing with a carry. I run 1/21/8 with smite and fortify(The +9 damage helps >_>). Start with cloth+potsx5. If you can get a leash on red start there if not double golems.

I use to play him a lot but the current meta and his past nerfs had me using tanky dps chars like Jarvan and Rumble to build tanky yet also a bit of damage. Hopefully in the near patches as they said they'll give him a little power back from his last nerf.

Regardless, for Shen I would normally start with Doran's Shield unless they are mostly AP or I assume I am going to be laning against AP (in which case I get Regrowth Pendant).
After Doran's, I get boots and Heart of Gold.
You can opt to get an Aegis if you feel the need but it isn't core (starting to feel it'll help in the current meta though). Merc Treads soon after.
Now, you have to figure out if the enemy is mostly AP/AD and which is fed the most even if they're mostly AP but the single AD is REALLY fed.
If AD, grab Sunfire, if AP, grab Force of Nature. Grab the other you didn't get afterwards if they are a balanced team.
Next, you build into the next tier depending on what is giving the most probs. Randuins/Banshee. I really like Randuins for extra chase and it messes up AD so well.
I would not suggest Warmogs due to the price + Shen's farming ability won't make this worth it in the long run. Thornmail I have been feeling less towards unless they're just pure melee AD stacking. I enjoy Randuin's more than Thornmail.

As for farming, before his last nerf I leveled his Vorpal Q to 5 first for harassing and last hitting not to mention a bit of hp. While nerfed, I still keep it high for all those reasons but been feeling I should be leveling his Shadow Dash taunt now to max first. Haven't quite decided on that yet...
Sunfire Cape also assists with his farming.

Most importantly, have constant map awareness for ulting.

Edit: meh, I'll prolly still max Q first then taunt second.

Don't know much about Shen, but back to the singed conversation... As tempting as boots of swiftness are, don't ever buy them. Merc treads or ninja tabi depending on enemy team. With his ult, merc treads= lolcc, and w/ 0/15/15 masteries ninja tabi= faster than boots of swiftness most the time anyway, even more so w/ dodge runes, which I need to save up for.

I currently run Mpen reds, MPregen/level yellow(saving for dodge), MR/level blues, and movespeed quints with 0/15/15 masteries giving me 7.5% move speed @ the start of the game, and an additional 10% after a dodge, making me the fastest level 1 around, lol.

I rush RoA if I can, following up with FoN for HP regen/MR/Movespeed<----Key to that thing. Follow that up with usually a sunfire but I'll build randuins or Frozen heart if needed(High melee team). If I make it that far I usually build Rylais for more HP/AOE slow/more AP. Past that, build torwards your biggest weakness that game, if you have no weakness by then, build a Will of the Ancients and TROLLOLOLOLOLOL with some more AP and spellvamp. Seriously, spellvamp is funny as hell, you get them to chase, they lose HP, you gain it back.

So Im working on my Jax builds; any tips would be appreciated.

Doran blade > Doran > boots(3rd doran if doing bad in lane) > bilgewater blade > ninja tabi > Hextech revolver > gunblade > Rylais > Death cap > Atmas > rageblade. Now very rarely do games last long enough for me to even finish the needless in my deathcap. I know mages are the bane of Jax so Im trying to find somewhere to toss some m.res. Ive been trying to get a QSS after my gunblade is done but I find it doesnt help as much as I had hoped. Then I was thinking FoN but I already have many expensive items in my list not to mention the regen is mostly a moot point since my sustainability is in lifesteal/vamp. Would an Abysal scepter be a good idea after Rylais maybe?

Anyways also looking for rune/mastery tips.

Im running 21/9/0 trying to favor my early game performance because Jax doesnt need help late game.

As for runes:

Reds: A.Pen(M.Pen better for harass maybe? or flat attack for hp/harass?)
Yellows: Dodge
Blue: AP/level(Working on buying M.Res)
Quints: Flat attack
