Eve was still used plenty in lower elo before her last nerf. Premade teams she wasn't so much. As solo player looking to cause issues against weak links in teams she was great.

Anyways my point originally was about Twitch sucking, not Eve.

I used my tank runes on her and got some games in.

Overall, she's like Amumu + Jarvan + Shen.

While she has some of their tools in a sense, she doesn't excel to their level. She isn't bad by any means but Amumu and tanky dps in general seem better. I really enjoy her though because it feels like a paladin minus healing ability. A shame she can't trigger her passive~

Her ability to double stun is really nice but takes practice to do right.

Personally I think shes one of the worst champions I've ever played, her cooldowns are so long and her damage is so low that it's laughable. Reminds me a lot of how Shaco is now, just too weak to be worth using. I event felt Yorick was stronger on release than Leona is.

She def needs a damage buff, but I like what she can do. Lower cooldowns would be very nice as well.

I've been having some pretty decent games with her so far, Yeah the damage is low but who cares xD! Being able to absorb all that damage and the stuns and slows has been messing up enemy teams.

Also curious cause I keep accidentally... buying them both at the same time, does heart of gold and phil stone gold passive stack?

HoG and philo stack but two of the same won't ie 2x HoG 2X philo 2X kage etc. They're all unique to themsleves but not each other. I like leona and the initiates she can pull off, i just wish she wasn't go god damn slow like molasses

leona is exceptional in lane with a ranged carry. seriously, try it. my last game i did that as ezreal i went 7/0/12 or something along those lines. leona pops her abilities on someone and one Q takes them half health.

Any advice for a new player? I started out using ranged characters like caitlyn and vayne, but i hated being a glass cannon, right now I'm looking for someone that can take a bit more punishment and deal pretty good dps. I've tried out garen and I liked him pretty well. Just not really familiar with any of the champions beyond the couple that I have played.

I don't agree on the DMG buff, she is suppose to be a tank =x

However, the lower cool down especially her Q could give a more reason to want to attack her (as riot members mentioned, someone who can stun multiple times gives a reason to target her). I use to level Q first to max but the reduction isn't enough in team fights. Now I just do W maxed first for team fights or ganks. This can help with her farming too a little if her Q was a short cooldown for hitting minions with (and hey even if they allow us to activate our own passive, would also give you the ability to do more damage yourself XD).

Guessing a tanky DPS but would be melee range. There are plenty of those you could use like you mentioned Garen, Renekton, Jarvan, Warwick, etc. Renekton is free this week so you should give him a try.

Except that every tank in the game does much more damage than she does and controls just as well.

Pretty much this. I get that she's supposed to be a tank. But this game doesn't really have a place for pure tanks. Unless they make changes to many of the existing champions, she's not going to be very good unless she has CD reduction and some damage.
