I've been trying out Tribunal for the first time today. It's rough because everyone reported seems to be a big douche but that alone isn't really a bannable offense. It's very hard to Pardon people that are jerks to their own teams though and then trash talk and fail.

They don't start with a permanent ban or anything. Nor are they temp banned after just one "case".

I tried it once, I think I got 10 cases done? All 10 I punished, but the email said I had 9 "right". But all of them were huge assholes that either spammed or intentionally fed.

Way too lenient imo. I'd probably prefer chat to be entirely disabled to keep people from instigating trash talk and poor sportsmanship. If you're playing with friends you might as well get on vent or some kind of chat system anyway. Speaking to randoms in games, no matter the reason, is a pretty bad idea.

And yeah, when you "punish" someone, all it could mean is an emailed warning. All of the guys who make it to the tribunal should AT LEAST get a warning for their behavior. It's ridiculous they aren't all voted "punish" on.

I like my trash talking too much to let them remove chat. And if you couldn't even communicate with your teammates beyond pings, just imagine how much more ping spam there would be.

I like complimenting enemies when they do something really well. I also like telling them to run when they're pushing a tower that I have no hope of reaching on time.

I can give a breakdown of the changes.

Please note that this is the current prototype and is not final, please dont use this against me and make me regret giving info.

Character Passive: Damage is retaining true and is being lowered a bit. Duration is being increased.

Q: Now a passive/active. Passive is the Xypherous outlined stealth rework. Active grants bonus attack speed for x seconds and instantly reloads x Vile Bolts into Twitch's crossbow.

W: Debilitating Poison: Now requires poison on the target to cast. Cast range increased by double. Can no longer be cast if there are no valid targets in range.

E: New Spell. Fires a narrow line missile instantly that deals total attack damage and includes on hit effects. High range, .75 second cooldown but requires Vile Bolts. Vile Bolts are Twitch's ammo resource that replenishes over time or by reloading via Q.

R: Expunge: Can no longer be cast if there is no target in range. Requires poison, cast range doubled. Damage heavily increased.

30 is like hitting 75. It's not as exciting as people make it out to be while you're levelling.

With the added novelty of learning just how much you, with your 200 or so games, suck against people who have played 2000 games and know all the tricks. And they yell at you.

I've done tribunal everyday since it was made, this is how I normally do it (not saying its the correct way since theres way to know how many right out of a certain amount)

Red flags:
1) Afk/Leaving -- If stated they are leaving because of some rage reason or if done in multiple cases without a word
2) Racial Slurs -- Sure, many of us can handle it but it is still some of the most offensive language usable
3) Inappropriate Name -- Usually racial stuff or the word Riot in it to pretend they're an admin
4) Offensive Language/Verbal Abuse -- This is one of those cases I have to read the chat in multiple cases, if they are going nuts in every case to their team/enemy team nonstop then yea that is reportable
5) Spamming -- Pretty uncommon but seeing 20 lines of the same word isn't normally right
6) Feeding Intentionally -- Pretty obvious, look at their score and gear, and check the chat as many of them usually say they are going to start feeding. While it's rare, keep an eye out in case the player was just bad with the champion for whatever reason when reported like this.

The hardest ones to justify a punish vs pardon is as you stated deshende how crazy they are in their chat towards the enemy/team and how common it was throughout not just one case but multiple ones. I can understand there may be moments to be unable to control your emotion but not in so many cases.

So not sure why but I haven't been playing ranked games in awhile now but today my Solo queue ranking dropped 20 points today bringing me from a silver emblem to a bronze. Kinda annoying since at the end of the season they gonna hand out additional prizes based on which emblem you have :/

In my initial 10 games of ranked before it became "ranked" I was 5-0, then I had 3 leavers in a row :\

I really think they should improve the leaver system. I think HoN's is pretty good. For those who aren't familiar basically the dude gets 5 minutes to return, if he doesn't the gold he has gets distributed and the rate at which gold is automatically accrued is slightly increased. Previously, you were able to get his items also, but I think they changed that? I haven't played in a while. During the time he is out of game and that 5 minutes is ticking down you have control over his champion too. So if you're good at micro it helps.

I never understood why they didn't just make the bot AI control the characters of people who left mid game. It might not be great, but at least it would be something so you wouldn't just be completely fucked.
