I was at 1648 then proceeded to lose roughly 10 in a row due to leavers, trolls, DCs, and 2 <5 min rage quits. I only lost 1 real game out of them all. Finally fought my way back to 1550~ for my Jarvan skin lol.

hey all, recently started playing this game.

Knowing nothing, I started out trying to play Alistar, which is good, but not really how I wanted to play, you seem to really have a solid group that's talking to each other for him to be effective.

I tried out Shaco and he sucked.

Tried out Swain and he's good, but I kept hearing Morgana is better......

SO, I'm now playing Morgana and I haven't lost much since I started. I'm probably somewhere around 30-4 since starting her. That being said, I'm still only level 18 as an account, and I imagine it's only gonna get tougher for me and I wanna make sure I'm playing her right. Anyone have any advice? Should Morgana be good enough for later/harder play? Any rune/mastery/item advice?

Right now I'm using Scaling AP runes. Getting Spell Pen from combat mastery then dumping the rest into Ability stuff. Then for items I usually go something like Dorans > Dorans > Sorcerors Shoes > RoA > AP Hat > Timeglass/Archangel staff

Wondering if maybe I should start getting Mejai's Soulstealer early on, or change some other stuff. I'm also starting with Tormented Soil at level 1 then alternating with Dark Binding, trying to max those and get by without Black Shield for as long as I can.

Morgana is damn good. I use AP/level runes, movement quints (so slow...), and magic pen reds. I prefer going Fairy Charm > Philosopher Stone for sustainability and gold/5. I actually go Rod of Ages then Hourglass before the AP hat simply because the Hourglass is so epic for her. Her ultimate continues to "channel" and can actually go off while she's invincible. Soulstealer is good, though I personally never get it simply because I hate dying when you have it, which you inevitably will do.

Edit: OH, yeah. Don't waste IP on very many runes before you get to level 20. Tier 3 runes or nothing, honestly.

I got stuck in an intermediate AI match with a kayle that spent the first 4-5 minutes of the game looking in the shop for 1 item he never actually found, and an ashe that was very new to the game. This is the result of said match, we came so close to dying at one point it wasn't even funny.

I wasn't a bit advocate of Philosopher Stone on Morgana but it all depends on how well you are at mana managing. Since you're still new, I can understand going this route. Pretty much this is more or less all correct.

As for skill build. Q or W first depending on the lane, then max W with one point in Q at 1 or 2 then the shield at 4. Q maxed out after W, with your ult obviously being first to max when possible.

I've decided to stop trying to get 1520 even though at one point I was only 2 points away, it's just so fucking frustrating when you are trying to get to a certain ELO and every other game is a DC, leave, afk, or troll.

Been watching a lot of BruzerTheCruzer's streams. He makes a good point if you want to get to a certain elo the best thing is to get one other decent person you work with. Helps with one less person trolling afking etc.,

Btw fell back in love with Malph, still figuring if I should go with my old build and run Clarity or forgo Clarity and take like Teleport or Exhaust instead and get Philostone, seems slower :L

Been trying a few different tactics with Morgana, and last night unfortunately ran into some terrible luck with partners, also wasn't playing great.

I really like getting the hourglass before the hat and can see the clear advantages to that, but getting the timing/luck to not get stunlocked in a group of Ulti/Immunity can be a bit tricky and I still need to get better at it. Also Mejai's is something I've decided is silly to get unless I know we're absolutely gonna roll the other team.

As far as everything else, I still haven't decided if I like Philosopher's better than 2x Doran early game and I still haven't decided on a clear early strategy. I'm usually stuck mid and mana is vital, as well as AP and HP for longer laning/possibility of gank so philosophers doesn't seem as strong. Shoes still seems like a must after those initial items and then RoA. Then Hourglass and Hat. After that the game is usually decided, but I'm still not clear if I should just be stacking more hats or go the Archangel staff route. What do you guys think?

Also fucking fuck Gragas. What a piece of shit. I CANNOT 1v1 lane against that guy. All of his stuff is bullshit. High damage, splash damage, high range, high HP/Def, unlimited mana, what the fucking fuck!!!
