I wouldn't say he's a strong laner anymore, the range nerf really hurt in that regard. He's still good late game, but I would say he's about even with Vayne now in both regards, and behind Kog in both. Ezreal shuts him down early now even harder than he did before too. All that said he's still a top 3 AD carry but he's not the OP beast he was before.

What are some good tips for playing melee or tank characters? I started out playing ranged carries, so not being able to last-hit or harrass easily while laning is kind of a big shift for me. I played a couple games as melee and often end up having to teleport back because I got too aggressive and took way too much damage.

Should I just stay back and soak up the exp for a while, and rely on gold/5 items before being aggressive? I'm looking to try Leona or Trynd, so specific tips for them would be helpful as well.

Yeah Wukong is pretty beast right now. He was a strong top before and they decided it would be a good idea to buff him lol. Not sure why they think he needs to be one of the scariest laner's in the game when he's got the most devastating teamfight ult in the game.

There weren't any patch notes for this update as it was just the beginning of season 2, no changes to champs were made I don't think.
