Hey all, I was wondering if any of you could impart some tips/tricks/guides for Morgana. I really like playing her and do fine in the beginning but seem to fall further and further behind as the game progresses. Thanks a lot!

Just ran probably my best vayne game ever (was 8-0-2) when my team thought they could out run the other team in a rush to the nexus. We ended up losing the rush and lost the game. Did I mention the other team had both Yi and Sivir? Yeah .... sucked

I'm mid as Lux with solo talon top, olaf and Cait bot, Lee sin jungling.
versus
Soraka, MF top, Ahri mid, Kayle and Shaco bottom.

I thought we were doing great, game was going well, I had an early kill on Ahri. Then, around level 10, I notice Olaf was 0x/1x and Kayle was 7/1. Of course, Olaf is cursing the whole time, raging about the game state. Luckily Cait and I could carry the team well enough to push down the center inhib when we are 2x/3x in kills with the enemy team. I keep telling them to pull back after we get a free kill or tower, they don't listen and take down 4 of our characters every time.

We ended up losing against an AD Soraka and a 100% squishy team(yeah they had heals but noone built armor or mresist). Cait ended decently with a 19/12, I am perfectly fine with a 2/0/1x record, and everyone else had abysmal scores. Definitely logged off after that lol.

Other good buys for him are Madred's Bloodrazor, Triforce, Force of Nature, Randuin's Omen, and Frozen Heart.

I disagree w/ madred's on udyr pretty heavily. It's expensive, offers pretty weak tank stats, and you spend the majority of late game trololo turtle/bear/turtle/etc rather than heavily auto attacking. My udyr build is generally regrowth + pot (as mentioned) > boots > philo stone > recurve > boots 2 > wit's end > shurelia for core items, then almost always 100% tanky from there. I almost disagree with the early philo stone because gp/5 in jungle generally makes you pretty weak for a while, but udyr doesn't need items to be a boss so whatever. Also, give your buffs away (after first set) unless you're personally carrying hard. goddamn.

I agree with everything here except the bolded portion. With Phoenix stance and a Philo stone you never need to enter turtle stance while you're jungling.

The build Ive been experimenting with(To a high degree of success) has been

Regrowth > boots + Philo buy > Zerker greaves > Recurve bow > what ever I really need. Replaceing boots with Merc/tabi while exiting the lane phase.

I usually transition out of Phoenix into tiger for late game leaving turtle or bear at level 3. The exception is if we have a heavy damage top lane like Trynd or Riven where all we need is a solid tank. In which case Phoenix is the better choice.

End game build usually looks like

Tiger: Boots2, Wits End, Reverie, Atmas, Warmog, Triforce
Phoenix: Boots2, wits End, Reverie, Omen, Frozen Mallet, Banshee/FoN/Frozen Heart

Press R and run at people.

On a more serious note, get Zhonyas really early, some people rush it but at least make it your 2nd/3rd item. Avoid throwing your Q randomly. It's better to catch them with an ult, wait for them to get stunned and then hit them for an easy Q.

As for your ult, it really goes without saying to try to wait for the best possible moment, Morgana is really all about her ult and if you get a perfect ult off you can essentially win a fight quite easily from there, so it's best to wait it out and try to let the enemy group up before you try and run in. Learn to use Black Magic Shield and try to learn how to self-cast for ohshit moments, you'll have a much faster reaction time. (I use shift + key (which would be W))

You've clearly never played Ryze vs Sion. I couldn't lose that lane even if I wanted to try.

Not dying to sion does not = winning the lane. He will still clear waves and ganks lanes while you are trying to keep up.

Finally crawled my way from 800 elo to about 1050.

A good mix of Cait/Kass/Cass/Morg/Kennen/Soraka/Sona/GP/KogMaw/Skarner makes for good matches.

I've found that playing during the day is better, all the trolls come out at night, lose me games... >.>
