What is the point of wearing two headsets? So many of the pros seem to do it:

Just to sell twice the headsets so you too can look this cool?

I keep having fucking games like this:

I'll dominate in CS and kills, and lose. I wouldn't complain if this hadn't happened in all but about 2 of my games in the last week. I've gone from about 10 over .500 to my current score. I feel like I'm never going to get to do ranked if I keep getting games like this.

Sadly none of that is your fault and you can't always save games when people play bad. I'm not a big fan of Cho'gath top in the first place, and he was against Pantheon which means a good Pantheon player would have shit all over him, he should have built a philo stone at least in a lane where it's gonna be hard to farm early on. Varus built a Bloodthirster instead of Infinity Edge first for whatever reason, and the enemy Lee Sin built correctly while yours didn't. Lee Sin falls off so if people built right you could have came back eventually, especially with a well farmed Karthus but probably not in this case.

BT first on varus is fine in most cases. it looks like it was 2 top against cho i'd guess, so it's really on the jungler for not helping out more. unless somebody on their team was jungling without smite, in which case i dunno what to tell you

I'm assuming its the usual get some kills top, then 1 went to jungle/roam, most likely Lee Sin. Skirks botlane was 4/10 and the other was 5/4, it doesn't really add up unless Katarina roamed down there for all her kills and skirk went down once or twice to help and died there too.

The Cho had about 25 CS by the 20 minute mark. This was an aberration for me in that I rarely get anyone THAT bad, but I'm incredibly frustrated about my constant losing as of late. I don't agree with top getting a philo stone in that case; though he was bad, under normal circumstances that item just prevents the player from having their early/mid game build sooner. I didn't rage against him, just asked if he knew how to last hit and pointed out that it was dreadfully low in spite of him being able to free farm for a while after top got bored and started devastating bot lane.

This was really just an example of my current trend; I'll get way ahead of the mid lane (by about 40 or 50 cs plus a kill or two), but we'll end up down 5 or 6 kills by the 20 minute mark and it just snowballs from there. I'm usually trying to run point in my games and pushing them towards objectives, but I rarely have people willing to cooperate. One game from earlier had two or three teammates constantly going to farm in the top or bottom lanes as the enemy team was doing baron or attacking our inhibitor. I know that's standard procedure to have people not listening, but it's reaching a breaking point for me.

One pair is noise canceling headphones, don't know why they're wearing two pairs though. Looks like it still has wires so one is for the mic... not 100% sure though.

That game had no jungler for the enemy team. It was lee/panth top vs. cho, me vs. kat, & heimer/trist vs. blitz/varus bot. I went bot a couple times to help but usually ended up just cleaning up with an ult after others had died. Top lane went together to dominate bot, I was rarely if ever harassed in my lane due to warding or indifference. The rest of the team surrendered just after 20:00. I guess I just don't know how to carry a team yet.

If he only has 25cs by 20min he either A) can't last hit, so a philo stone would be giving him extra gold or B) couldn't farm due to pressure so it'd be helpful. Apparently it was a mix of both, but if he wanted to stay viable now rather than late game(which imo would not be a bad idea, both panth and lee sin fall off late game) then he could have stacked Dorans rings instead of just 1, 2-3 would have made him abit beefier and given him some mana regen to do something in lane. In situations like that with some champs losing top 2v1 is inevitable unless the jungler camps it hard early on, and that means the other 2 lanes need to win on their own with less jungler assistance. Which while not impossible, in my experience doing normal blind that doesn't happen all the time.

And the shitty game streaks are inevitable, I've dealt with long streaks to the point where I didn't play the game for about 2 weeks except to get my win of the day. Playing with at least 1 other competent person over skype has helped my mood in LoL, since at least I'll know I have 1 other competent person on my team.

They wear ear buds for listening and then cover that with the giant sound proof headset so the crowd/announcers don't give things away/disturb them. The one around the neck is only for the mic.

Makes sense. Guess I didn't look close enough at the headsets they were wearing.

One aspect to carrying in solo queue(and like most things in solo Q you don't have full control over it) is never surrender if you or one of the other carries is doing well. If you're doing well try to roam and pick up slack for others(and try to be team captain like you said you were doing). If another carry is doing well then just try to farm and not feed and hope you can hit mid-game. Once you get to team fights just support that person as best you can with peels and CC.

Basically just always vote no and allow yourself the opportunity to make a comeback. If you end up fighting a losing battle, just try to think of it as practice for the next game.

    Are you running LoLReplay, btw?

I almost always vote no, even in normals. The surrender was 4-1.
No I don't have lolreplay, should I start using it?

You should, the replay files aren't actually all that big so it won't consume your disk space, and it's always nice to have something to go back to if you want to know wtf happened in a game that went wrong(like this one). Can record in either normal mode that's just from your perspective, in spectator mode, or both.

Yeah, like I said, you don't have full control over it.

LoLReplay can be a useful tool for reviewing your own mechanics and decision-making if things go wrong, and for showing your friends you're a badass when things go right.

No, I'll post when I have a better picture (the one i took didn't turn out so well, and a friend also took one that I hope turned out better)

    Here's the final helm though:

Not too shabby for never trying it before
