Why do supports with sustain (Soraka, Taric, etc.) get life potions over mana potions? Nearly all of them will heal more life via their skills, and with mana potions, they have the flexibility of healing either themselves or the carry, while a life potion can only heal themselves. The only two things I can think of are cooldown restrictions (i.e. heal skill on cooldown) or that they may not level the sustain skill first. The first one seems relatively minor in most lanes I've been in, and if you do plan on leveling the sustain skill, are there any reasons why mana potions wouldn't be preferable?
proper mana management on champions like soraka and taric precludes the need for mana potions (in fact, taric has a mana sustain in his passive), and it's more important to heal your lane-mate than yourself and wastes fewer resources. that's my rationale, at least.
I almost never run out of mana on soraka without starcall spam. HP is more important that MP for her when I play. I like to stand in the way and soak damage on all my supports.
they need to re-enable ranked queues and fix the championsnormals are boring
@1365 on roommates account now, no one has added me to playprobably gonna make a final push to gold tomorrow afternoon
Add me Dantragk
This is entirely accurate for Soraka. On Taric I tend to take mana pots since I play with an aggressive jungler that likes my stuns to be available and imbue heals Taric as well as his target. Most adc's complain if you hit their minions even if it's to restore your mana and lower your cd's but I deal with it to prevent any mistakes in cs and to avoid pushing in the lane during early laning.
confirming theories that elo hell doesn't exist ._.
playing in 1300s is way more fun than anything else
high 1100s-low 1200s is awful
I got 2 games in earlier. I played top-lane as Akali, so most of the new items didn't really apply to me. The map is smaller, but didn't really play enough to get a good feel. Two major things I noticed were wards not available anymore, and you start with more gold, I think 835 or so.
Also, Mana potions are what...three quarters of a skill for most people?

1200-1300 is considered ELO hell but after climbing my way from 1200-1350 without losing a single game I can confirm it doesn't exist. 1200-1400 can be carried by a single person just because players in this range have terrible mechanical skill (farming, skill usage in team fights) therefore you can win just by gold advantage. I'm finding that 1400s generally require more focus on team objectives and good team fighting/composition. Currently lingering around 1450, need to make that final push for gold!
there is no elo hell, none. if you are better than whatever elo you are at you will climb out of it. no exceptions. this does not mean you will hard carry every game, nobody does that.
For those that follow the pro-scene, are there any good websites out there for news on teams and tourneys? If anybody follows SC2, I'm looking for the LoL equivalent of teamliquid.net. Apparently Balls left MME and the only way I found out was tuning into Aphro's stream.
Reddit just seems like a community of all the people I hate running into in matchmaking. Was hoping there was a community site.
