Old League of Legends Thread

I've been trying to stray from the cookie-cutter rune and mastery set-ups, as well as using unpopular champions. I came up with this build today and it's pretty fucked up.

Start with a Doran's Shield, force a lv1 fight solo top, and revel in the glory of 50 Hp/5sec w/ Riposte. Finishing your build with: Merc treads, Bloodthirster, Warmogs, FoN, Atmas, and Frozen Mallet.

Fiora will have a tough time with most top (there are at least 10 champs that do her role better), but it's fun throwing off your opponent and dominating early on.

A lot of people are scared to get out of the meta and try to discover something for themselves. I thunk it's funny trolling someone when you suddenly have a 0/30/0 mastery tree or something.

I run 0/30/0 Masteries with Cho and Shen top. Many luls are always had.

I know that feel. 3 points away from Gold > Lose 3 games. Fuck. Climb back up, 2 points away from gold > Lose 4 games. Fuck my life. Finally win 5 games in a row after some very selective queue dodging and using lolking to research my team mates. Fucking solo queue.

oh thought they were waiting until season 3 to nerf it, i guess you still rush it? seems like it is bad to rush now. what elo was that ranked game?

Not to sound like a dick, but Ive always felt its better to play to improve and not necessarily play to win(For rank), you will stay calmer during loses and its a lot easier to recognize mistakes as you play. Granted Im sure you want the gold+ rewards for season 2 ending but dodging games to get only good teammates sounds kind of unfun.

I was dodging to get gold before seasons end because not dodging games I knew I should have dodged resulted in the aforementioned loss streaks. I climbed 300 elo in about 2 weeks just to get gold for the rewards because I hate ranked and try harding. All the champs I've been playing to climb ranked are sitting at around 4-5:1 KDA ratio so trust me, I'm playing just fine. That said, if you want to play to win, use lolking.net to better your chances otherwise enjoy the random coin flip that is ranked; especially because people just give less fucks due to the season ending.

yeah the removal of cooldown reduction really hurts, since the only other viable mage item with CDR is Athene's Unholy Grail (I guess Morello's Evil Tome is still around, but...eh). I've read that Morello intends for it to be a late-game 5th or 6th item when you're already stacked and need some extra power. I've started rushing gunblade on evelynn, but I don't really like it too much. It looks like Jintu is rushing it still, though.

It's still a powerful 3-4th nuke for most casters. I'd still build it on all the characters that I built it on before. Or maybe leave it at lucky pick until after I finish cap and then finish it.

So probably something like boots/pots > pick > revolver into gunblade > deathcap > abyssal scepter/hourglass > finish dfg would work, then, and maybe switch those last two depending on need

I'd finish it before scepter/hourglass. I always build it on LB after cap. But almost always forget to use it lol. Most the time I don't need it anyways but It's nice to have for team fights but it's harder to use in a gank. I have issues going W 1 Q R E.
