Haha fuck I knew I forgot my favorite support. Nunu...god I love him so much.

Blitz is alright but you need to have your lane pushed a lot and good map awareness with him especially.

Janna is really needed when going against an Amumu, well not needed but really helps.

Actually, I feel with nunu you need the lane pushed for him to be of full use. Where as blitz, not so much.

Need to be familiar with the current trends in competition, with the EG team, and ideally have some exposure to competitive gaming that goes beyond just LoL such that you can make speak about competitive gaming in general not just about competitive LoL.

Mainly in the laning phase. If you are pinned against your turret ans not either equal in lane or them pushed up more you have no presence as a support. No bush control either and against bad other supports who don't ward you should just dominate. Hard to do all of that when they can see your grabs or you have a small window to operate in.

if you are on your side of the river you can just W up to their support, E them, and let your jungler gank from wherever. blitz isn't all just landing grabs, you can set up ganks just fine without it

It's closed again. Though, I did get in. Someone took qeomash on the PBE, so I went with Rycadin. Haven't had a chance to get on and try anything though. Was going to take the Mac client for a spin for the hell of it.
