would love for CLG to reform without hotshot and pickup wings or something, even though i'm pretty sure he hates playing competitively. that would be entertaining and a good team, but hotshot will never go out like dan dinh did.

God, I love M5. They're a bit inconsistent but when they're on their game, I don't think any team in the world is better at teamfighting. They just put on a clinic against Fnatic.

Almost every EU match was exciting as fuck. NA was a snore fest.
haven't seen anything from them that impresses me and the players in general were subpar in solo queue. I realize solo queue isn't like 5s except general game mechanics but all those players on MRN were eh.
too lazy to quote the other guy, but NA teams perform consistently bad in the global scene where as other regions can always win against each other (NA always loses)
please don't just take a few examples from random tourneys. it's just like any other sport, a team can get ahead and win based off factors other than their own personal skill, no one in NA can do it consistently.
but yeah i'm hopeful for curse but i doubt they'll be able to do anything
imo world rankings look something like this. NA isnt even top 10
1. TPA
2. Frost
3. WE
4. Najin Sword
5. Gambit
6/7. Blaze / KT Rolster B
8. EG
9. Fnatic
10. IG
first penta in a ranked, have had like 3 in normals. aww ye
Spoiler: show
Something I have noticed about the world scene is that in NA and also somewhat in Europe; you have these individual players that are good at individual champs, that play on teams together. In Asia, you have teams that play together. Team comp and counter-comps seem like a much better way to play this game, than picks and counter picks. NA game picks are very predictable. EU less so, and Asia seems to mix it up a lot. I don't know if that is necessarily because of counter-comp picks (I know it is sometimes, evidenced by the awesome Heimerdinger game from last week) or if it is to keep the other teams off balance. Either way, until the NA teams (outside of Curse, who does look much stronger recently) get their individual egos in check and actually play as a team they are never going anywhere at an international tournament.
Just bought Elise, her ganking seems unreal for jungling.
Tips on jungling Elise? Or laning with her? Also on her "Rappel" I'm a total noob, when you target a player that works for me, but when you just target the ground I don't see a way to do anything other than cancel it or wait it out, am I missing something?
She has to have a target to move under her Rappel, if you don't have a target (even a minion works), you will just drop down where you went up.
When you rappel on the ground you can cancel/wait, or wait a bit then click a target. Valid targets are not just players though, but basically anything you could auto-attack, so enemy minions and neutral mobs.
@Ringthree: I felt like the story of the latter stages of S2 World Championship was EU teams getting exposed for having really thin champ rosters and getting handily out-picked, which I feel like plays into what you're saying. I think we've already seen that start to change a bit though(wickd can play at least 3 champs now!), and I'm hopeful that with the amount of games and the amount of practice necessary to be competitive in the LCS we're going to see more progress like that and a real evolution of the western scenes.
One can only hope, but with more people like Aphromoo and less people like Edward Livingston, I don't know if that is going to happen (nothing against Aphromoo, he is an amazing player, but still limited and out of his comfort zone with champs he doesn't play alot even though he plays way more than the normal NA).
On a different subject, I have been watching a whole lot of Dota 2 and I have to say I am not really impressed, but I haven't gotten a beta key to really try it yet. When every ability can go 3/4 of the screen and does 3/4+ of your target's HP, how is that really balanced? It just seems to be following the "If everyone is OP then everything is balanced" philosophy. No wonder people say you can always come back in Dota 2. With huge stuns/silences, and massive damage anything can happen at any time, but the skill factor is reduced to who gets their CC off first.
I am also a complete novice at Dota 2, so I might just be missing the skill involved with high level play.
My attitude towards dota has always been "I have shit mechanics at LoL, and dota is mechanically harder, so why bother?" lol
Mine is more of a "I've spent so much time and money on LoL already, no way I'm ever switching to a new game to start all over."
Now that we're on the topic of elise, how would you guys build top lane elise? I just bought her when she went on sale.
