MRN definitely showed some intelligent play by subscribing to the Artosis Doctrine(when you're ahead, get more ahead) in their game vs GGU, but I can't help but wonder if the early game would've gone differently had GGU not been playing with a sub. As I was watching them, the word that came to mind most of all was "uncomfortable." The team was not as comfortable with a sub, their sub was not comfortable in a big pressure LAN, and ZionSpartan was on a champ he's probably not comfortable with(which I think is why he did so much better vs coL on a champ that traditionally goes top). I could be wrong though, GGU might've just misread the game and not realized they were so behind in laning.
So im just learning about this game now. Any good casters I should look at to learn more about this game?
Annie is pretty much "baby's first mid." Her kit makes last-hitting easy and her ultimate is useful even if you lose lane.
In case he meant casters as in streamers... you could watch voyboy or scarra on twitch.tv for informative play/great commentary and explanation.. or TheOddOne for somewhat informative commentary and general hilarity.
If he meant champions.. Ryze is also a very simple caster champion and is a monster late game, only thing different about him is his unusual item build path for an AP caster champion.
I say bookmark the LOL page and keep a lookout for most of the tsm guys. Chaox usually plays the AD carry and actually talks about what he builds and stuff. Theoddone is a good jungler but he gets kinda whiney and blames his teammates on occasion. Phantomlord, scarra and froggen play the mid role with scarra more explaining what he is doing then phantom. Onemadbrad/onebadbrad, Crumbzz (whenever he does steam) and saintvisicious are all good junglers. Voyboy , cruzertherbruiser and Dyrus all like to play the top lane with voyboy more into explaining his picks and builds. Reginald is another good mid laner but unless you want to hear omg, dude, bro throughout stream I suggest picking one of the other 3
For casters, I think Edward Livingston is the best by far. He is a retired pro, and basically focuses the entire cast on explaining why he does most anything. I would avoid most current pros because they tend to over focus and stop talking when important engagements happen. Voyboy is definitely an exception, his casts are great. Also, Ciderhelm's videos on youtube are very instructive. He isn't that great of a player, but he really knows the mechanics of a lot of champs. Wingsofdeathx is another twitch caster that is pretty good at explaining things, and he almost always goes over his builds before the game.
As for caster champs, I don't think Ryze is a great starter caster, his build isn't really the normal full AP carry because of his mana requirements and really short range. I don't play a lot of casters, but I would think Veigar or Lux would be a good start.
SivHD and TheOddone are my favorites if I'm actually going to watch streams. Entertainment value is so high.
I meant streaming/commentary casters lol. Thanks for the suggestions, ill check em out.
Oh, for streamers, I strongly recommend Wingsofdeathx(ignore the dumb name). He's a really intelligent top-lane player and always explains what he's doing and why during his games.

yeah wings and voyboy are good tops, scarra a great/informative mid. avoid reginald/oddone at all costs, oddone probably has some form of assburgers and reginald is full retard. onebadbrad is also a good jungle streamer, doesn't get alot of views though because he isn't the best at the game
I've been trying to watch Voy because he's been so good in LCS but every time I tune in he's doing derpy shit like lulu and draven top. Agree on Scarra and Oddone, esp Oddone. His habit of referring to himself in the third person("it looks like oddone will have to carry this game!") really annoys me.
yeah voyboy's voice is full retard, but he generally doesn't say stupid shit, unlike the other streamers.
Xmithie's stream isn't bad, he doesn't really commentate at all though. His jungle and mechanical skills are veryyyy good; probably the best Lee Sin I've seen roflstomp diamond/challenger players.
Just throwing this out there; Oddone is not a very good player. He lacks the mechanical skill that nearly every top player has. For instance he could never lane against Froggen on any champion he plays, because Froggen is just mechanically superior. Even the weaker laners in the pro scene such as zion sparta would absolutely mash him if he were to lane 1v1. Him playing only in the jungle is his only saving grace.
That being said he still makes good macro decisions and has good game sense. I just dont get how he has such a large following when he is 2-3 tiers lower in skill than pretty much any other top player.
