If people want to see competitive play they can just watch any number of tournament streams. When people are looking for streams like that they want to learn how to play from people that are better than they are (or troll). If they aren't talking then their isn't much point watching solo queue.

people put too much emphasis on streams for real, watch maybe 1 or 2 of some of the people who talk. watch what they do.

learn to cs better. learn your own playstyle, trying to copy a pro won't get you anywhere. haven't watched a stream in forever over playing, sometimes i turn one on inbetween queues but other than that i rarely watch them (solo queue streamers that is.)

wanna get better? play more

I don't know about you, but I watch streams at work. I don't really know anyone that would voluntarily watch a game instead of just playing.

People watch streams for entertainment primarily.
There are a lot of people who get ladder anxiety as well ( a hilarious concept in lol ).

Exactly what it sounds like, people get nervous around hitting the queue button, so they watch streams instead.

I feel like I've finally made it in Silver II. People don't join the channel and spam-call their roles. It's a really big step up for me.....People are generally being flexible and it's AMAZING.

edit: i know a lot of people who stream instead of playing lol

edit2: i had ladder anxiety when i first hit plat when if you lose it you lose it for good, but yeah shits lame
