My buddies and I ran a Thresh, Blitz, Mumu, Sona, Vayne troll comp. We all took tele and heal. It didn't work as well as we'd hoped for but it was hilarious. Took two towers under 6 minutes and then just grouped up and ran amok.

While I'm very slowly leveling up, I've been trying to spread my playtime across different roles in order to be prepared later on. I've got a solid support roster that I like (Sona, Soraka, Leona), two AD carries (Ashe, Caitlyn), and a mid (TF). I'm looking for suggestions for tops and jungles to try. I spent the IP on Shen, but really haven't spent any time on him. I'm guessing Nasus is a champion I should pick up at some point. Any other suggestions? Also, another mid suggestion would be cool, since I imagine TF is popular enough that I should have a backup just in case.

Current good tops: Riven, Renekton, Elise, Jayce and I think that Gangplank is super underrated right now. Super easy to play, and teaches you to last hit inherently. Also has a global ult that helps with learning map vision. Shen isn't that great of a top for a starter but his ult also helps with learning map vision.

Jungle/tops that might be good pick ups: Hecarim and Vi.

Vi is an insanely good top due to her gap closing and shield passive. I always have a tanky build w/ her.

Echoing Riven/Renek/Elise/Jayce, last two are a bit harder to play though. As for Junglers, Riven and Elise both work fairly well, Fiddle is really easy to pick up, easy clears, fairly safe as long as you're not countered, can also go mid/support. Most champions can do fairly well in multiple roles, honestly.

If you only have TF for mid pick up Annie at least, easy last hits in Q, team wide high damage stun, long AA range. Ryze is fairly simple too, all targetted abilities, strong lane match ups. Karthus is really safe, rewards dying generally, easy to pick up, hard to master.

Only person I haven't seen mentioned is Cho/Teemo/Jax top, all cheap, all fairly good at what they do.

Can't go wrong buying all the 450-1350 champs honestly.

Just get good with singed top and make people hate you. Best way to win a game is to single handedly piss a whole team off to where they all want to focus you.

Make sure you bind your laugh and move to the same key while you do this. Same with Lux, or Taric and his Joke.

I don't know, she can be shut down pretty badly if you just wait for her punches to be down. I have found that you can't push back against a tanky Vi, but she will never kill you.
