How do you guys manage to keep up with CS after laning, when team fights start breaking out? I believe the idea is pretty much to farm when you don't think a fight is imminent, and you see that the other team won't jump you while you're by yourself farming, but I have so much trouble putting it into practice (I know wards are important for this). I generally play mid and ADC, which are especially squishy if caught alone (even if I have the support with me).

For reference, I have around 250 wins in normal, and I just got into Silver II (about 20 games in ranked now), so I'm basically still a newbie. I think my map awareness is getting better, but I still can't CS much after mid game, as I'm almost always with the team. Is it something that just comes with more experience?

I have found the problem is getting your team to not engage when you are already farming out your lane.

I think you are supposed to push your lanes out to river at least, and get them going your direction.

Farm as waves push to your side. Make sure you let your team know and ping V constantly if you see them. Make sure if you're going too far deep that you don't go to far past your jungle even without wards.

^Normal is full of retarded hobos. Seriously, I backed off trying not to steal kills away from my ADC in this game below. It's also not like I was building for that (incoming /rolleyes) awesome Sona damage.

I REALLY hope they dont subtract points for a loss with 1LP for gains.

They do. It sucks. But they do. Once you get to your promo it's much easier the 2nd time and you can jump up from 80's to 100 after youve' gotten there once.

I don't know how I feel about Lissandra. I can't decide how to build. She is a CC monster though.

I REALLY hope they dont subtract points for a loss with 1LP for gains.

If anything, they'd subtract a lot of points if you had lost that game. It just means your team was heavily favored.
