just started playing this, really enjoying it so far. i'm playing sivir and actually getting kills and doing stuff. i assume she is considered a noobish character just for ease of use? and what's a good build generally? i try to focus on attack speed early until i get the phantom dancer, then go for mana regen/ability power/attack damage. is this about right for her?

Sivir used to be considered bad, but after reworks she's a top tier carry.
Phantom dancer early is just bad.
-
care to elaborate? looked for some stuff on the LoL wiki but it was a copy/pasta of the info tabs in game.

For Sivir, I usually go all AD with boots being the only thing with AS+. Her bouncing glaives hitting extra hard makes up for the loss of AS with her boomerang hitting extra hard too. I usually replace one of the items with war for +HP if I need it. Usually don't lol.
-
sorry for noob question, not up on the abbreviations yet. AD is...what? AS+ obviously attack speed, war is probably that armor?
-
Sorry, AD is attack damage and yeah, war is that armor XD
-
oh, hurr. i'll give that a go, thanks.

Sivir?
1. Boomerang Blade
2. Spell Shield
3. Boomerang Blade
4. Ricochet - Keep this turned off, you don't want to push the lane early
5. Boomerang Blade
6. On the Hunt
7. Boomerang Blade
8. Spell Shield/Ricochet - preference, I go Spell Shield because I'm pretty decent at last hitting.
9. Boomerang Blade
10~18. Pick up On the Hunt at 11 and 16, max either Ricochet or Spell Shield.
Start with Doran's Shield or Doran's Blade, I go Shield on Sivir as lifesteal is typically a bad idea at low levels. Typically, I rush a Catalyst the Protector and move into Mercury's Treads. The idea with boots is go with what you NEED if there is no CC on the enemy team, you don't NEED Merc Treads, but they're never a bad idea. Catalyst provides you lane sustainability with extra health and mana, and you can make it into one of the best defensive items later in the game.
Sivir has a pretty high attack speed without any items, so picking up too much attack speed will be a bit of a waste. A Black Cleaver with the recent rework can help end the game fast and is never a good first offensive pickup. After Black Cleaver you can work towards a few different items: Bloodthirster (loses its stacks upon death), Stark's Fervor isn't a bad pickup, but it's my opinion that if you're carrying someone else should be holding this, Infinity Edge is a good pickup if you are going to have a decent amount of crit. Phantom dancer is an 'ok' item for Sivir if you have a real want for crit. After you get your Infinity Edge, at 25+ minutes you want a green elixir up for every team fight. As a final note, if the other team is extremely tanky and also too stupid to build magic resist, build a Madred's Bloodrazor.
Oh, and a note for the lane phase -- Spell Shield returns mana.
Happy hunting~
p.s. my builds are always different for every game because I build for what I need at the current time, which is why I listed so many items. It would probably be inefficient to build all of these in one game though.

Early Catalyst seems kind of overkill to be honest. The blade buffs your boomerang also and if you grab two to three which is what I usually do then the life steal becomes a lot more noticeable. Sivir is all about AD stacking though. Black Cleaver and Bloodthirsters is probably your best bet. You can grab a Sword of the Occult if you're feeling fancy and like snowball items. Grab one defensive item or two if your second is Frozen Mallet. I almost always go Banshees Veil because of the double shield and sometimes people are even stupid enough to think your Veil is the shield and wait around a few seconds before realizing its not and falling for a double soak. You can also try to rush Warmogs/Madreds for fun and just tank the holy hell out of people. I did a 2x Warmogs/Atmas one game and I was running at like 250ish CS with a buttload of HP towards the end. Combine that with a free Banshees every 9s and a 25% dodge you pretty much become unstoppable to anything other than hard CC.
Boots - Merc Treads are generally the best choice always. If they have a Yi/Tryndamere/Ashe comp you should definitely grab Ninja Tabis as they are insane with your passive/defensive talents.
The spec I run is usually 0/9/21 grabbing the bonus movespeed talent in Defensive. When you fight melees you want to get a feel of moving and hitting quite frequently as your passive will keep your ass alive for a lot longer.

Man I was away and didn't play for 3 weeks and now I'm getting squashed in every game xD Need to get out of this slump.
Anyone got good setup ideas for caitlyn? I don't usually play ranged carries. The only one I've played is MF but its been a while even with her.

Any experienced Master Yi/Fiddlesticks players on here? I read a guide or two on leaguecraft, but would like a more in depth/questions answered guide.
http://s107.photobucket.com/albums/m...ueofLegend.png Is my best Yi fight with a good kill/turret ratio. I heard that build isn't too good since it gets owned by Thornmail, but I'm going to try out a AP Yi. any tips? Would have went and upgraded to 2x Exec Calling and Infinity Edge, but game was short as hell.

Yi usually just "Clears the waves" meaning you can get 18 the quickest.
Just watch the map and figure out where the other team is, clear 2-3 creep waves, if they chase after you, your ult + ghost and you are impossible to catch. Doing this you are always leveling and farming.
Yi should never be in a fight until the middle or end. He always just cleans up. At level 18, if you have enough atk speed and AD, with Yomuu's, you can BD like no other.
EDIT: Starks is great on Yi. It looks like you are following a guide on leaguecraft I found a longgggg time ago. The two vampyric sceptres are not necessary at all.
For AD dmg, you want to get Blood thirsters. They are great for the lifesteal and atk.

Just found this thread, ALOT of BG on LoL. UnnamedBeast is my name ingame. Don't really play ranked, just normal games for fun. Usually play Trynd, but learning Olaf atm. I like Melee carries, and Trynd is to easy to stop if they know what they are doing and shut me down early game.

trynd isnt a good champ... he's either really good or really bad
-
True, but when he's really good, he's godly.

You guys are over complicating Sivir. Just farm, all game, all the time, push towers, get 300+ CS and buy your way to victory. Buy whatever AD items you want, I recommend Bloodthirster and Warmogs. The key to playing ANY ranged carry is good positioning, and learning how to squeeze attacks out at every second (attack, move, attack, move, attack, move etc..) even when on the defensive. Often, I'll see ranged carrys just turn their backs and try to run without throwing out attacks when things go bad, making them completely useless in a team fight because they're chicken.
As for Trynd, he stomps in blind pick but sucks in draft because he's easy to counter-pick.

Make sure you take teleport on sivir as well, you can just park the enemy outside a tower, teleport to creep wave, push a tower and it's incredibly hard to stop.

Are those custom skins or are they actually changing that? Also, Kayle looks amazing, hope that will be her default.
